Staying in top-notch shape, Olivia Wilde showed up at a fitness center in New York City yesterday afternoon (May 2).

Joined by gal pal Jaclyn Jonet, the “House” actress looked gorgeous in a makeup-free face with a red jacket, black leggings, and sunglasses.

Earlier this week, Olivia took to her Twitter account to express some frustration over the lack of male understanding surrounding the female cycle.

Wilde tweeted, “I think all men should have to spend one day possessed by evil, hungry, emotionally expressive demons so they can forever understand Pms. To the men replying with badly written jokes about all women being crazy, go try and perpetuate human existence without us, d*ckface.”...

In Repo Chick, '80s punk provocateur Alex Cox turns his attention to the state of contemporary society. Needless to say, he doesn't like what he sees. And who can blame him. Even on the best of days, you have to admit it's pretty grim out there.

Told through the eyes of a Paris Hilton analogue, Repo Chick is the story of Pixxi de la Chasse (Jaclyn Jonet), a spoiled celebutante who's disinherited by her family for bad behavior. This forces her and her self-serving entourage out into the cold, cruel world. Luckily, Pixxi lands a job as a repo chick, which brings her into contact with some very bad people doing very weird things.

With his latest flick, Cox takes on the world in which we live, and everything is fair game.

In Repo Chick, British avanteur Alex Cox substitutes the grimmy, punk-rock La of the early 80s with a new "pink-rock" vision to create a sequel-in-spirit to his first underground hit, Repo Man. Yes people I am as stunned as you are, but Repo Chick is Not the epic misstep that the film's trailer made it out to be, in fact quite the opposite. Repo Chick may not consistently entertain but it's a wildly unique, artful vision by a director who is so unafraid to take risks that he continues to be a relevant force in outsider cinema.

In 1984, Director Alex Cox brought the world his punk cult classic, Repo Man. Repo Chick comes to us from writer/director Alex Cox, the same guy who brought us Repo Man. Repo Chick is not a sequel so if you're like me and haven't seen Repo Man you're going to be ok. I will say after watching this I'll check out Repo Man which is also celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Repo Chick is about millionaire heiress Pixxi De La Chasse  (Jaclyn Jonet) who gets disinherited by her snobby family, which includes veteran genre actress Karen Black.  What spoiled Pixxi has to do next is something she never dreamed about, she has to get a job!

Pixxi enters the real word looking for a job and becomes what else? A repo chick! All I can say is I literally fell in love with this film! Jaclyn Jonet owns this role and makes it her own to perfection and has full support of a great cast.

Filmmaker Alex Cox's kooky comedy Repo Chick - the "official non-sequel" to his 1984 sci-fi cult classic Repo Man - is to get a Us theatrical release this month as it heads to DVD and Blu-ray.

It will open theatrically at the IFC Center in New York on January 14 and at the Downtown Independent in Los Angeles on January 21.

It will then hit stores on DVD and Blu-ray on February 8, as confirmed by Disc Dish.

Repo Chick was shot 98 per cent on greenscreen and also incorporated miniature sets and stop-motion animation.

1984's cult classic Repo Man is finally getting a sequel: Repo Chick. Alex Cox's story is about a teen girl who gets kicked out of her parents' house and takes a job finding antique cars for repo man to make money. While doing her job, she discovers and then sets out to stop a plot to destroy Los Angeles. While writer/director Alex Cox's official follow-up to his cult action comedy thriller Repo Man is strictly confined to the graphic novel world, his new film, Repo Chick, takes place in roughly the same world, albeit with some very different characters. And now there's a trailer to be found online.So what can you expect from Repo Chick? Er… Based on the footage, it looks like a school project made with ultra low-budget green screen for many scenes and an Ott blend of camp, pulpy, wink-wink craziness. The plot follows wealthy bad girl Pixxi (Jaclyn Jonet) who, after getting "disinherited" takes a job as a repossession operative. She soon proves to be an ace at the job, but also gets mixed up in a weird criminal plot. A trailer has premiered on youtube for Repo Chick, the "sequel" to Alex Cox's 1984 cult classic Repo Man, starring Emilo Estevez. I should say that I am, and always have been, a very big fan of Repo Man, but not really of Alex Cox as a director. So on that note, I should say that I'm not entirely sure what to make of Repo Chick. It's not quite as post-punk as I was hoping, but then again, I guess it's not 1984 anymore...

Do you like Repo Man? No, not Repo Men, the new organ-snatching action flick starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker. I'm talking about Alex Cox's 1984 cult classic starring Emilo Estevez as a newbie repossession agent for the Helping Hand Acceptance Corporation. If so, I'd like to know how this debut trailer for Repo Chick strikes you, because, well... you'll soon see why I'm curious.

Going solely off of what's in the trailer below, were Repo Chick made by anyone else, it would be laughed off of the Internet. Considering it was written and directed by Alex Cox, however, as a "spirtual sequel" to his excellent genre-bender (it looks to play in the same world sandbox without any story continuity), I'm willing to hold out hope that all this green screen, pulpy madness plays to a higher agenda; as opposed to looking only slightly more technically proficient than, say, Birdemic.

Among the stars of the upcoming new movie Repo Chick - Alex Cox's so-called "official non-sequel" to his 1984 sci-fi cult classic Repo Man - is Us actor/writer/producer Danny Arroyo. 

The film, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in September, is co-produced by David Lynch's production company (Eraserhead, Dune, The Elephant Man, Twin Peaks) and produced by Daren Hicks and Simon Tams (producers of Batman: Dead End, Searchers 2.0, Hunter Prey). 

The official synopsis of the project is: "Against the background of the credit crunch and the subprime mortgage crisis in the Us, where repossessions of homes, cars and other forms of property is at a new high, the repo business has expanded to everything from boats, houses, aeroplanes, small nations...children."

Venice International Film Festival

VENICE, Italy -- Searchers 2.0, Alex Cox's first feature since 2002's Revengers Tragedy, is a road movie -- ah, we have had so many, some would moan -- but it goes a couple of steps beyond that. On the face of it, it is a tale of revenge and justice. Then, as the reels unfold, it is apparent that there is more nostalgia and longing than mere hard feelings, ingredients to get the work into the commercial circuit. In any case, it is hardly festival material, and even at the Venice Film Festival it was not part of the more serious and academic competition and outside competition sections.

The film opens with a beautiful sunrise in an American countryside. As we go along, there are equally stunning visuals captured to mesmeric effect by cinematographer Steven Fierberg. Aging Mel (Del Zamora) and Fred (Ed Pansullo) fancy themselves actors, but all that they have to their credit is a single performance as child artists in Buffalo Bill vs. Doc Holiday.

That sole appearance was enough for a lifetime, given the nasty experience on the set, where legendary screenwriter Fritz Frobisher (Sy Richardson) savaged them to get them wailing for a particular scene. Mel and Fred obviously have not forgotten the pain. Years later, they find a chance to avenge their humiliation when Frobisher agrees to a Q&A session at a screening of Buffalo Bill vs. Doc Holiday in Monument Valley.

Mel convinces daughter Delilah (Jaclyn Jonet) to drive them on the three-day road trip. The long journey exposes them to each other's idiosyncrasies. There are times when the movie is hilarious, but others when the script seems to be yawning, with not enough happening to keep the road run exciting. The old men's banter about Westerns and heroes like John Ford bores Delilah -- it might bore some of us as well. To add to this, she forgets to bring her nerve-calming medication, and thus suffers from an unusually severe "right-and-wrong syndrome."

Great visuals and peppy music spice up the story, which by itself is threadbare. The performances are even, though sparks of ingenuity can be seen in Richardson, in those scenes where he is confronted by Mel and Fred. The character of Delilah seems largely an embellishment that jars, and one suspects that she was put there in the first place as a relief in an all-male drama.
