Sean Paul and Shaggy teamed up with Spice for a boisterous live rendition of dancehall number “Go Down Deh” on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The trio was joined by a DJ and some backup dancers for the performance, which had a house party-themed set.

Last year, Sean Paul collaborated with Tove Lo for the single “Calling on Me,” which got a music video directed by Andy Hines.

Behind the Beats: Drumma Boy

Drumma Boy has already put on for everyone else, now the multi-platinum rap producer is just trying to put on for his hometown. The Memphis, Tennessee, beatmaker has delivered hits to Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, T.I. and Waka Flocka Flame, just to name a few. But on his latest mixtape, Welcome to My City 2, Drumma marches to the beat of his own drum — literally.

"Welcome to My City, first and foremost, is the unification process of Memphis. It's like bringing the city together," said Drumma, who raps as well as produces on the tape.

The tape's stand-out single, "Where I Come From," features reggae star Junior Reid, and on it Drumma Boy...

Guilty In Cocaine Case
Tampa, Fla. — Grammy-winning reggae singer Buju Banton was convicted Tuesday of conspiring to set up a cocaine deal in 2009, a verdict that elicited anguish and disbelief among supporters in a crowded courtroom and from other artists in his native Jamaica.

A federal jury deliberated for 11 hours over two days on the fate of Banton, who won a Grammy last week for best reggae album for his work entitled "Before the Dawn." He was found guilty of three of four charges, and his attorney said he's facing at least 15 years in prison.

The 37-year-old Banton, whose given name is Mark Myrie, remains wildly popular in Jamaica, and the trial – his second over the drug accusations – was packed with supporters that included other well-known reggae artists. The first trial ended in a mistrial last year after the jury deadlocked.

The tall, dreadlocked singer didn't react when a clerk read the verdict on Tuesday.

Reggae Singer Sugar Minott Died at 54
Reggae star Sugar Minott has died. He was 54. Minott passed away at the University Hospital of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica on Saturday, July 10, his wife Maxine Stowe has confirmed to the Associated Press. She did not disclose the cause of his death.

He sparked concerns for his health after canceling performances in Canada two months ago, citing chest pains. The singer started his career in the late 1960s as a member of reggae trio the African Brothers, before embarking on a solo career in the 1970s.

He also scouted out new talent for his record label, Black Roots, launching the career of artists including Junior Reid and Tenor Saw. Minott's next album, "New Day", is due to be released posthumously later this year.
