      Dawn draws anime, and one drawing in particular caught the attention of Diddy. When asked what the character's name was she replied "Danity Kane". It was a female superhero she drew while Danity Kane was in the studio, and to Diddy this represented the girls of Making The Band 3. Diddy then decided it would be the name of the group.
