Biography

Anna's childhood crafted her desire to act, being exposed early on by her father who played in a traveling band that fused music with stage comedy and theatrics. Here is where she honed her love of the stage, often improvising during a set to add comedic value. These experiences inspired Anna to learn to use her own sense of humor to entertain others.

With passion set in her heart, at the age of eighteen, Miss Gold moved to Los Angeles; where she studied at such places as the Io West and Second City theaters.

This training blossomed into Anna doing extra work on such beloved shows as "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" and "Felicity". Her references can attest to her hard work.

She then went on to acquire speaking roles on TV shows such as "Family Guy", and "El Show de Don Cheto", as well as in independent films.

Anna resides in Chicago's Ukrainian Village, lauded for its 'deep bench' of local theater such as the Chopin Theater, The Hypocrites, and The House Theater.

She keeps up her craft by studying on-camera techniques "The Acting Studio" and "The Green Room Studio".

Anna continues to act in roles that inspire her artistically and have a great cast and crew.

Anna Gold was born in Springfield, Illinois, and started making her family laugh around the dinner table at age eleven. Upon realizing that she was funny, Anna decided that once she graduated high school, she would move to L.A. to become an actress.

Anna gained her first on-set experience from being an extra in T.V. shows such as "Felicity" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". She then went on to study improv at Improv Olympic West (I.O) and Second City. With her burgeoning interest in improv, Anna moved to Chicago where she continued her studies and I.O., and branched out into sketch comedy.

After a few years, Anna missed the west coast and moved back to L.A., where she starred on the 100th episode of "Family Guy", along with several Spanish T.V. shows.

Anna now lives in Chicago where she appears in plays, movies, and hopefully soon, commercials. She continues to study her craft by taking On-Camera classes, and is learning how to write scripts.
