Tiffany Haddish’s Netflix stand-up series, featuring six comedians personally chosen by her, is returning for a second season and is set to film with an audience this weekend.

The streamer has renewed Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready and Deadline understands that it is shooting in Long Beach, California. It will air in 2021.

Deadline understands that audience members will be tested for Covid-19 before they are cleared to attend the event with testing provided by production. They will subsequently have their temperatures tested upon arrival, after a negative Covid result, and will be required to wear masks and adhere to social distancing.

They Ready spotlights comics who share a personal history with Haddish: Chaunté Wayans (Wild n’ Out), April Macie (Last Comic Standing), Tracey Ashley (The Last O.G.), Aida Rodriguez (Comedy Central’s This Week at the Comedy Cellar), Flame Monroe (Def Comedy Jam) and Marlo Williams (Bet’s Comicview). Comedian Wanda Sykes will also executive produce alongside Page Hurwitz.

Haddish personally chose all six comedians, each of who she shares a history with through her work in the stand-up scene and on television. "In an industry that too often excludes women, people of color, and Lgbtq performers, this diverse group of comedians, both in style and background, are ready for their time in the spotlight," the streaming site declared in a statement.

The group of comedians will include Chaunté Wayans, April Macie, Flame Monroe, Marlo Williams, Tracey Ashley, and Aida Rodriguez.

Paradigm Talent Agency has hired new agents, Nikita Adams, who joins the company’s Unscripted department, and William Rodriguez, who joins as a Comedy Touring agent. Rodriguez’s clients include Keenen Ivory Wayans, Piff The Magic Dragon, Tommy Davidson, Chad Prather, Aries Spears and April Macie. Both Adams and Williams will be based in the agency’s Beverly Hills office.
