The first, Sam & Cat, placed Jennette McCurdy's Sam from iCarly with Ariana Grande's Cat from Victorious. The second lesser-known one is Gibby, featuring Noah Munck reprising the titular role from iCarly.

Obviously, we know that the network chose to move forward with Sam & Cat, which only ran for one highly controversial season. Don't worry; Schneider still enjoyed massive success at Nickelodeon until his eventual termination in 2018 for what they're calling "creative differences."

Sam & Cat seemed to be doomed from the start, but what if Nickelodeon went the other way? What if they had picked up Gibby instead? A pilot was filmed around the time iCarly originally ended but never released. Its possible existence tormented the internet...

“iCarly” stars Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress, who portray Spencer and Freddie respectively, are looking back on Emily Ratajkowski’s cameo in the original show over a decade ago.

The actors, who’ve reprised their roles for the Paramount+ reboot series alongside Miranda Gosgrove, Laci Mosley and Jaiyden Triplett, recently told E! News that they thought Ratajkowski’s two-episode, season 3 feature as Gibby’s (Noah Munck) girlfriend, Tasha, was “hilarious.”

Here's another reason why 2021 is looking up: Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress have signed on for a reboot of iCarly, which came to an end after six seasons in 2012. It's a "Sopranos" reunion, courtesy of ... Nickelodeon?

You read right. Cast members from the late HBO mob series will reunite in the Nickelodeon TV movie "Nicky Deuce," which stars "iCarly's" Noah Munck and "The Sopranos" star Steve Schirripa.

The movie, which is based on the children's book written by Schirripa and Charles Fleming, centers on Nicholas Borelli II, a.k.a. Nicky Deuce (Munck), a nerdy teen who finds himself in Brooklyn with a mobster uncle (Schirripa) he never knew he had after his plans to attend math camp go awry.

Schirripa (a.k.a. Bobby Bacala) tapped many of his former "Sopranos" co-stars to make appearances in the kids mob movie, which is sure to have fewer f-bombs and trips to the Bada Bing than "The Sopranos" did. Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) lives in Seattle, Washington with her 26-year-old eccentric brother and guardian, Spencer (Jerry Trainor). Their father, Us Air Force Colonel Steven Shay, is temporarily stationed on a submarine.

In the episode entitled "iGoodbye," Cosgrove's character, Carly, is devastated when her dad can't be there to take her to the Air Force father daughter dance. When Carly's brother Spencer (Jerry Trainor) gets too sick to take her himself, Carly's bestie, Sam (Jennette McCurdy) goes into action, talking buddies Freddie (Nathan Kress) and Gibby (Noah Munck) into getting their tuxes on.

Exclusive: The Sopranos gang is officially back together! James Gandolfini, the Emmy-winning star of the HBO drama, is doing a cameo in Nicky Deuce, the Nickelodeon TV movie based on the children’s book co-written by Sopranos‘ Steve Schirripa, who also produces and stars in the project. In addition to Gandolfini and Schirripa, Nicky Deuce, currently filming in Montreal, features fellow Sopranos alums Michael Imperioli, Tony Sirico and Vincent Curatola for a reunion of most of the tough guys from the hit mob drama. Nicky Deuce centers on Nicholas Borelli II (Noah Munck), a nerdy, over-protected teen who gets caught in the adventure of a lifetime when he is sent to Brooklyn to spend the summer with an uncle (Schirripa) and other members of his Italian American family he never knew he had. Confronted with some questionable dealings, Nicky uncovers family secrets and learns that the mean streets of Brooklyn...

Four mobsters from "The Sopranos" will have an on-camera reunion next year in a rather unlikely place -- Nickelodeon.

Steve Schirripa, Michael Imperioli, Tony Sirico and Vincent Curatola will all have roles in "Nicky Deuce," a Nick movie starring "iCarly's" Noah Munck and based on a children's book Schirripa co-wrote. Rita Moreno also stars in the film, along with "Degrassi: The Next Generation" veterans Cristine Prosperi and Cassius Creightney.

"Nicky Deuce" stars Munck as a teenager whose plans to attend math camp go awry and who ends up spending the summer with his uncle (Schirripa) in Brooklyn. He acquires a (false) reputation as a tough guy soon after arriving and has to figure out how to live up to the label.

Imperioli, Sirico and Curatola will all play characters that harken back to their roles on "The Sopranos."

"Nicky Deuce" is based on a children's book of the same name Schirripa wrote with Charles Fleming.

The kids' cable channel, Nickelodeon, has announced plans to produce numerous new TV series, movies and pilots. For their evening Nick at Nite schedule, they've ordered 20 episodes of a new sitcom, Wendell and Vinnie.

On the kid side, Nickelodeon has ordered two iCarly spin-off pilots -- Sam & Cat and Gibby. The shows would follow the characters played by Jennette McCurdy, Ariana Grande, and Noah Munck into new settings once iCarly signs off.

Several cast members of "iCarly" will be sticking around on Nickelodeon after the show ends later this year.

The network unveiled a development slate Friday (Aug. 3) that includes pilots for two "iCarly" spinoffs -- one of which also spins from "Victorious" -- and other projects that feature actors from the series.

"Sam & Cat" will star Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande as their "iCarly" and "Victorious" characters, who become best friends and roommates and then start a baby-sitting business together.

The other "iCarly" spinoff is "Gibby," which focuses on Noah Munck's character as he takes a job at a rec center and becomes a mentor to a ragtag group of middle-school kids who hang out there. Munck will also star in a Nick movie called "Nicky Deuce," based on a children's book by "Sopranos" actor Steve Schirripa and Charles Fleming.

Sam’s prospective show also would serve a spin-off vehicle for Cat Valentine (Ariana Grande), a popular character from Schneider’s other Nick comedy, Victorious.
