Richard Trus is a film and television producer, writer, director and visual fx producer/supervisor known for some of the biggest sci-fi television series in Vancouver. A science-fiction fan as a child, Rick founded several Visual FX companies in Vancouver, and was the Visual FX producer for Canada's Largest visual fx and post production studio - Northwest Imaging and FX. At Northwest Imaging and FX Richard was responsible for the post production and visual fx for many series including Fox, MGM and paramount tv series including The X-Files, The Outer Limits, Andromeda, Stargate
Richard has been involved in comedy for over 20 years and performed at Yuk Yuk's, the Improv and was selected for the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal in 2003 for his comedy series - Hickory TV.
The Early Years
Rick Trus has been writing and directing since high school and worked on the John Travolta feature film "The Experts" which was filmed at Rick's High School Niagara District Secondary School.
While attending Brock University Rick Trus produced and directed a weekly television series Brock Television BTV for 39 x half hour episodes.
