‘WWE 205 Live’ Review (Sept 4th 2018)
Welcome to this review of 205 Live, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel, and we have lots of action to get to, so let’s do so.

Match #1: Gran Metalik def. Tony Nese The following is courtesy of WWE.com:

Two weeks removed from a chaotic Tornado Tag Team Match pitting Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado against Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese, The King of the Ropes battled The Premier Athlete in singles competition. Last week, Buddy Murphy scored a major victory against Kalisto, and Gran Metalik looked get retribution for his Lucha brother’s defeat. After The Lucha House Party and Tony Nese were ejected from ringside during last week’s match, this battle would simply be Metalik and Nese with no distractions.

Nese briefly took control by dropping Metalik onto the apron, but The King of the Ropes battled back, only to be overpowered and thrown into the fan barricade,...

Women-Only Wonder Woman Screenings Have Some Men Very Upset
David Thewlis, Saïd Taghmaoui, and Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman (2017)
The Alamo Drafthouse is considered one of the most revered movie theaters in America, which has become well known for its hard-line stance on in-theater talking that has lead to a string of fan-favorite anti-talking PSA videos. The theater certainly isn't afraid to push the envelope, even if it brings a few trolls out of the woodwork, which was the case recently when the Austin, Texas theater announced a "women only" screening of Warner Bros.' Dceu adventure Wonder Woman. While the screening was praised by many, it also lead to a number of males voicing their frustration on the theater's social media pages. Here's the official description of this screening from the Alamo Drafthouse website.

"The most iconic superheroine in comic book history finally has her own movie, and what better way to celebrate than with an all-female screening? Apologies, gentlemen, but we're embracing our girl power and saying...

Lady Gaga gets pep talk from Alex Rodriguez
Lady Gaga received a pre-surgery pep talk from Cameron Diaz and Kate Hudson's ex-boyfriend. The 'Bad Romance' singer - who was forced to undergo a serious operation on her hip this week after cancelling the remaining dates of her world tour - shared the same surgeon, Dr. Bryan Kelly, as the actresses' former love interest and New York Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriguez, who assured her that the procedure would go smoothly. A source close to the 26-year-old star told the New York Post's Page Six: 'Alex was at Dr. Kelly's office for a follow-up, while Gaga was preparing for surgery. It's natural for anyone to be nervous ahead of this type of surgery, especially as a performer or athlete...

A-Rod Posts That Surgery 'Went Well'
George Clooney
It looks like Alex Rodriguez's hip surgery went well! Take a look at the pic the Yankees slugger posted on his Facebook page this afternoon, writing, "Surgery went well! The road to recovery officially begins … looking forward to the challenges ahead."

Video: A-Rod Says George Clooney is 'My New Role Model'

According to Mlb.com, the 37-year-old A-Rod had two-hour arthroscopic surgery in New York on Wednesday to repair his left hip, with the procedure expected to keep the Yankees third baseman on the sidelines until mid-season.

The Yankees said in a statement that Rodriguez's surgery "went as planned and without complication." He will begin a supervised rehabilitation program with an anticipated full recovery in six months, returning him to the sport after the All-Star break.

The physician who performed the surgery, Dr. Bryan Kelly, has stressed that he does not believe the athlete's injuries are a result of performance-enhancing drug use, saying, "His hip...

Theater Review: Mary-Arrchie Theatre’s ‘Superior Donuts’ is Authentic Chicago
Chicago – The characters of “Superior Donuts” – as brilliantly interpreted by the cast in this production at the Mary-Arrchie Theatre – feel as though they’ve stepped from a Chicago neighborhood and began to perform their lives in the theater.

Play Rating: 4.0/5.0

This is an authentic Chicago play about a fictional donut diner in the neighborhood of Uptown, in a play written by Tracy Letts (”August: Osage County”) and originally performed by local icon Steppenwolf Theatre in 2008. The Mary-Arrchie company, a couple of miles from where the play is set, brings the story home in an setting so intimate that there’s a tendency to want to sit at the counter and order a sinker. Each of the actors communicate their honesty by natural characterizations, to an extent where they create them right at the moment.
