Shaun's first feature-length documentary, Born This Way, premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival before being acquired by Amazon Prime. It won awards around the world for its powerful yet intimate depiction of the queer community in Cameroon (including the Outfest Grand Jury Award and the Amnesty International Golden Butterfly).
His film Possible Selves, the moving story of two remarkable foster youth striving to get into college, launched nationally on PBS in 2024.
While creating commercials and branded content, Shaun has worked around the world with clients including Xos Electric Trucks, The Courage Campaign, People for the American Way, GE and Partners in Health.
Growing up as a lanky gay kid in a conservative home, he was the first in his family to go to college, studying piano and experimental music at Carleton College. As a Fulbright Scholar in Sri Lanka, he studied the power of storytelling to transform conflict. He lives in Los Angeles.
