Steve Wall is an Irish musician and actor.
Recent roles include Frank, the father of Ben Wishaw's character in Netflix's hit series Black Doves (2024); Bashar the colonel of the Sardaukar in Dune : Deuxième Partie (2024); the psychopathic hospital orderly Ivan in the new horror feature Oddity (2024) for which he received an IFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actor; Steve is also part of the lead cast in The English (2022) a 6-part western mini-series starring Emily Blunt (BBC/Amazon). He appears in Raised by Wolves (2020), (Ridley Scott for HBO Max); season one of The Witcher (2019) playing the nasty 'Boholt'; The South Westerlies (2020), a 6-part Irish comedy-drama for RTE; and he can be seen in the lead role of jazz musician 'Chet Baker' in the Dutch art house feature My Foolish Heart (2018) about the days leading up to the jazz legend's death in Amsterdam in 1988.
Other notable roles include Einar in Vikings (2013); Tin Star (2017) (s3); Rebellion (2016) (2016) and Uncle Danny in Moone Boy (2012) (Sky TV)
He made his theatre debut in January 2024 with John B. Keane's 'Sive' in a hugely successful 56-show run in Dublin's Gaiety Theatre.
Steve is also the lead singer and songwriter with legendary Irish bands The Walls and The Stunning. He started out as an actor but due to the lack of opportunities in Ireland at the time he formed The Stunning in 1987 and the band went on to become hugely successful enjoying number one albums and hit singles. The band split in 1994 and Steve and his brother Joe formed The Walls which took them all over the world on the back of four critically acclaimed albums. .
He returned to acting in 2012 making his TV debut with Moone Boy and has continued steadily since, playing a wide variety of roles.
The Stunning reformed in the mid-2000's and play a select number of sell-out shows each year.
