He was born in Mersin, Turkey. He studied Cinema and TV at Istanbul University.
He has been intricately involved in the production process across various departments since the advent of Free TV channels in Turkey. He has contributed to immensely popular TV series, Films with international awards.
In 2006, he founded IMM company, focusing on production design and content production. Cengiz Keten designs and produces film and TV series projects. Moreover, he serves as a Co-Producer in national and international projects.
He is a member of associations such as Tesiyap, Filmyap and Senaristbir.
