Biography

Karina Michel is an Emmy Award winning British-American actress and PGA film producer who has made many contributions to the entertainment industry. With a passion for acting, she embarked on her journey at a young age, honing her skills and gaining experience. Additionally, Karina ventured into the world of modeling during her high school years, working with prestigious agencies such as The Ford Agency and Otto Models in New York and Los Angeles. In Los Angeles she worked on TV/Film including Dexter, Entourage, CSI NY and Transformers 2. She's worked on over 100 projects to date and continues to act in films and TV.

As her career progressed, Karina expanded her creative endeavors to include writing and producing content for both television networks and feature films. She has garnered recognition for her work in producing impactful documentaries and features in both the United States and the United Kingdom. These projects often tackle important social issues, aiming to promote social change, destigmatize mental health, and celebrate the arts and music.

One notable achievement in Karina's career was one she won an Emmy for - Heart of Fl :PD. A film she directed and stars in. She was also an executive producer on "Little Miss Sumo," a film directed by Matt Kay. This film was shortlisted for an Oscar and received critical acclaim winning the Best UK Film award and being recognized as one of Forbes' Top Five Short Films to see at Tribeca 2019. Additionally, Karina was involved in the production of "Queens," which was nominated for the prestigious Iris Prize for Best of British Film.

Beyond her work in film production, Karina is also an accomplished writer and syndicated columnist. She contributes to Authority Magazine and Rolling Stone, sharing her insights and perspectives on various topics. Furthermore, she has created and hosts the highly acclaimed Apple podcast "Coffee with Karina- Entertainment Unfiltered," where she engages in unfiltered conversations about the an artist's life and their journey in the entertainment industry.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Karina remains committed to her local community. She actively engages in volunteering with Rotary and finds joy in giving back. She's currently working on the Central FL Sheriff Advisory Council and prepping for her next feature .
