A VJ, actress and a model, Ishita Arun is familiar with the small screen from the age of three years. She appeared in the advertisement of Vicks Vaporab with Jayant Kriplani. This television commercial 'Gale mein khich khich' ruled for many years. Ishita was born in the year 1987. The artist was a student of St. Xavier's College in Mumbai. Previously, Ishita was studying in Amravati in Arya Vidya Mandir Girls School.

Ishita Arun is the daughter of popular singer Ila Arun. At the age of nine years, Ishita participated in Nadira Babbar's children's theatre workshop. The oval-faced beauty also appeared in television serial named 'Yatra' by Shyam Benegal. Ishita is having a charming personality and is a good dancer and singer too.

The gorgeous lady debuted in the music album of singer Sonu Nigam, 'Bijuria'. The song was from his album called 'Mausam'. Ishita debuted in Tamil film industry with the movie 'Snegithiye'. The acting performance by Ishita in this film was praised by one and all. This Tamil flick was directed by Priyadarshan.

In the year 2006, alongside singer Shaan, Ishita played the host of a television show named as 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Ek Main Aur Ek Tu'. Ishita was the contestant of a television reality show called 'Dil Jeetegi Desi Girl' on NDTV Imagine in the year 2010.

The talented actress was also a part of documentary based on life story of eminent classical singer Alla Jillai Bai. In this documentary, she essayed the great singer in her childhood. For the similar documentary, at the tender age of eight, Ishita recorded her first two songs. This daughter of Ila Arun has learnt Kathak in a professional way. Reportedly, Ishita was also a part of Shiamak Davar's Institute of Performing Arts. Ustad Maqbool Hussain is Ishita's guru, when it comes to singing.

In the year 2011, Ishita commenced her own space designing company called as 'D se dijhaeen'.

Ishita Arun tied the knot with a classical and jazz musician Dhruv Ghanekar.
