If you are a fan of British television or would like to make room for some more UK content in your life, HBO Max will give you a huge help this August. Starting tomorrow, the streaming platform will make available for U.S. subscribers a "programming pop-up" section, which will include a selection of 15 different series for you to stream. You will need to prioritize it, though — the majority of the titles will only be available until September 29. The December lineup includes the Sophie Turner-led Joan, the highly anticipated Shetland Season 9, and the crime drama Protection. Filming has begun on the fourth season of the BBC Studios Drama production Sister Boniface Mysteries, a BritBox International and UKTV co-production created by Jude Tindall. The show will also return for another feature-length Christmas special this December, written by Jude Tindall and directed by Paul Gibson.

BritBox, the ITV and the BBC’s streaming service, is set to roll out across the Nordics with a raft of original programming on April 28.

BritBox International will launch in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, and will include BritBox Originals, exclusive new series, as well as TV classics.

The slate will boast true crime dramas “Stonehouse” (pictured), starring Matthew Macfadyen and Keeley Hawes and “The Thief, His Wife, and the Canoe,” starring Eddie Marsan; light-hearted murder mystery series “Sister Boniface Mysteries,” starring Lorna Watson and Jerry Iwu, on top of the lush period drama “The Confessions of Frannie Langton” with Sophie Cookson and Jodhi May. New titles will also bow on the streamer every month, for instance Idris Elba’s “Fight School” and “Anne” starring award-winner Maxine Peake.

Streamer BritBox has extended its production partnership with the Agatha Christie estate.

BritBox, which is jointly owned by BBC Studios and ITV, has signed on for three more productions with Agatha Christie Limited and Mamoth Screen.

The trio have already collaborated on an adaptation of Christie’s novel “Why Didn’t They Ask Evans?” (pictured above) starring Emma Thompson and Will Poulter, which will premiere on the platform in April.

BritBox have not yet confirmed which of the author’s prolific output they will be working on next but they have said each of the three adaptations will be “steered by a distinctive voice – a director, a writer or auteur – bringing an entirely new perspective and style to Agatha Christie’s novels.”

A Catholic nun’s habit. Meet the quirky title character of Sister Boniface Mysteries, played by actress and comedian Lorna Watson. The amusing new series, which debuts on BritBox February 8 with 10 episodes, follows the spirited sister as she helps the police catch killers in the appropriately named community of Great Slaughter, a small town with a large body count. The character first came to life a decade earlier in “The Bride of Christ,” a Season 1 episode of cozy mystery series Father Brown. In it, the wine-making, Agatha Christie-reading nun delighted viewers as she helped Mark Williams‘ titular priest solve two murders. Father Brown executive producer Will Trotter wanted to do more with Watson and her character.

BritBox North America, the streaming service operated by the BBC and ITV, has commissioned a drama based on a character that first appeared in the hit British daytime show Father Brown.

The Sister Boniface Mysteries will star Lorna Watson (Watson & Oliver) after she featured as sleuthing nun Sister Boniface in the first season of crime-fighting period drama Father Brown on BBC One.

BBC Studios will produce the 10-part spin-off drama, having made eight seasons of Father Brown since 2013, and it focuses on light-hearted murder mysteries in 1960s England.

Created by Jude Tindall (Father Brown), Sister Boniface is using advanced techniques for tracking down killers and acts as a scientific advisor to the police, working alongside Detective Inspector Sam Gillespie and Detective Sergeant Felix Livingstone.

Lorna Watson (“Watson & Oliver”) is set to star in a detective series for BritBox North America, “The Sister Boniface Mysteries.” Set in 1960s rural England, the series of light-hearted murder mysteries follows the investigations of Sister Boniface, Bride of Christ, vintner and crime scene investigator.

The 10-part drama, created by Jude Tindall, is produced by BBC Studios Productions, and will be distributed internationally by BBC Studios. The show was executive produced by Will Trotter.

Watson reprises her role as Sister Boniface, following her appearance in the first season of “Father Brown.”

In the 1960s, when police forensics is rudimentary by today’s standards, Boniface – with an I.Q. of 156, a Phd in forensic science, and a fully equipped crime laboratory is an invaluable aid to the police. In her role as official Police Scientific Advisor, Boniface works alongside the dashing detective inspector Sam Gillespie and Felix Livingstone, a high-flying Bermudian detective sergeant.

Rowan Atkinson will appear as Henry VIII in the next series of Horrible Histories.

Not only that, but the actor will also sing about the 16th century king's reign in the style of Elvis Presley for the Cbbc show.

Atkinson is one of several guest stars due to appear in the historical comedy programme's sixth series.

Ben Miller has been lined up to play King John, while Kevin Eldon will take the role of William the Conqueror. Sanjeev Bhaskar will also feature in an unconfirmed cameo role.
