Filmmaker Kevin Smith is writing a double-sized crossover comic in which the wholesome Archie Comics characters meet the edgy protagonists of his film oeuvre. This mature title takes place in the continuity of Smith’s filmography, with the book set after the events of 2022’s Clerks III, which (spoiler alert), included the death of Dante (Brian O’Halloran).

“Archie plays a role in the healing,” Smith tells The Hollywood Reporter of the story, which features Archie landing a summer job at the Clerks Quick Shop and striking up a friendship with co-worker Randal Graves.

“Not only is this my stab at a classic American franchise that existed long before me that I read as a kid … It’s a midlife crisis project about death and learning to deal,” Smith adds.

Exclusive: British filmmaker Danny Cannon (I Still Know What You Did Last Summer) has signed on to direct Obey.

The film is described as a high-concept horror thriller. Altitude will be shopping the film at the upcoming European Film Market.

The film follows a couple struggling to save their marriage who must learn to put their differences aside if they are to save their son from a deranged home invader, Flip Face.

The official synopsis reads: To Love, Honour, and Obey was the intention of Mark and Caitlin when they stood in front of their family and friends on their wedding day. Years later, comfortable familiarity has deteriorated into contempt and the couple has decided to divorce.

Mark leaves. A new life apart – Mother and son, Tanner, now alone at home. But when Caitlin goes to check on Tanner, she finds he’s gone. Nowhere to be found.

Years before he directed Challengers, Luca Guadagnino created the coming-of-age miniseries We Are Who We Are, based on an original idea by writer Paolo Giordano. The longer runtime of a miniseries rather than a movie allows Guadagnino to give the world of We Are Who Are a sprawling, lived-in feel. We Are Who We Are is a well-observed portrayal of teen romance that rivals Challengers in its provocative relationship dynamics.

When a TV show has an unforgettable pilot episode, it instantly pulls viewers in for what's to come next. Whether it be the characters, the high-quality production, or the unexpected twists, people grow curious about where the story will go. However, if the series finale is disappointing and poorly conceived, the ending could leave a noticeable stain on the show's legacy and become a part of television infamy.

Shockingly, these TV shows had the best of both worlds since they started so strongly to pull viewers in, only for the final episode to cause them to question whether the investment was worth it. They became the proper definition of having a journey that is far better than the destination. 2003’s School of Rock compiled a great group of child actors as they not only were able to go toe-to-toe with Jack Black in their comedic performances, but they also really came together as a band for the film. Blue Bloods Season 14, Episode 17, "Entitlement," would be a perfectly average episode in any other season. As the second-to-last installment of the entire show, though, it's a disappointment. None of the multiple storylines generate any real suspense for viewers, and while there isn't anything terrible about the proceedings, it's impossible not to want something more.

"Entitlement" has the majority of its plots connect to that concept in obvious ways. The Governor of New York wants Frank to use his power as police commissioner to do him a favor. The detectives investigate a "mean girl" suspected of killing her classmate at an all-girls school. This morning, I settled into writing a speculative piece about the upcoming series Skeleton Crew. After the recent trailer, the showrunners Jon Watts and Chris Ford were interviewed by StarWars.com to discuss the series in more detail. One part stood out to me, so I took some time to muse about it.

In the original article, as captured here by Caitlin from Skytalkers podcast, Ford discusses the homeworld of the kid protagonists. Silco was one of the most important characters in Arcane, both to Jinx and to the entire undercity beneath Piltover. Out of the entire cast of Arcane, few characters have had more of a direct effect on the show than Silco. Prior to the events of Arcane season 1, Silco had considered himself Vander's brother, and the two led a doomed revolution against Piltover that ended with Vander betraying Silco. Silco continued his plan to secure the undercity's independence, this time going directly against Vander. Silco managed to kill his brother, and in the aftermath of their battle, he took Powder in as his own daughter.

Years later, Silco became a drug kingpin in the undercity and the main supplier of Shimmer, the substance that transformed its users into powerful monsters. With Jinx (formerly Powder) and Sevika, he corrupted the undercity even further and preyed upon the people Vander once protected.

Matthew Perry’s mother, Suzanne Perry, has opened up about the grief that her family has faced since losing her son to addiction one year ago.

Along with Matthew’s mother, his step-father Keith Morrison, and his step-siblings, Caitlin, Emily, and Madeline talked to Savannah Guthrie in an interview with Today.

“I’m a very lucky woman, but there was one glitch, there was one problem that I couldn’t, I couldn’t conquer it,” Suzanne said. “I couldn’t help him.”

In an interview that aired on the Today show on Monday, the one year anniversary of Perry’s death at the age of 54 from the acute effects of ketamine, Perry’s mother Suzanne Morrison, his stepfather Dateline correspondent Keith Morrison and three of his sisters — Caitlin, Emily and Madeline Morrison — looked back at Perry’s final days and what they’ll remember about their late family member.

Suzanne recalled feeling, shortly before Perry died, that “there was an inevitability to what was going to happen next to him, and he felt it very strongly.”
