- Born and raised, but not conceived in New York City, David J. Green is a 24-year-old writer-director who loves making audiences laugh. Green is currently in post-production on his feature directorial debut, Slaughter at Camp Swinelake, a zombie horror-comedy about body image and self-acceptance, produced by cult film legends Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz and distributed by Troma Entertainment. Green's offbeat, raunchy rom-com short, Gen. Sex (11 mins), stars Jared Gilman (lead of Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom) and is currently on the festival circuit. In 2023, Green worked as a production assistant on the horror-comedy short, Thin Skinned, starring Richard Kind. Green's own quirky horror-comedy short, Where Did The Day Go? (12 mins), which he wrote, directed, and starred in, won the award for Best Horror-Comedy at the 2023 Houston Comedy Film Festival. In 2021, Green's political rom-com, Elephants & Donkeys (7 mins), which he also wrote, directed, and starred in, took home the prize for Best Romantic-Comedy at the Houston Comedy Film Festival. In 2019, Green interned for the debut season of Comedy Central's Awkwafina is Nora From Queens. From coming-of-age and horror to romance and action, Green has written five feature-length screenplays and is developing countless more. Regardless of the genre, Green's work has the dynamic visuals of an Edgar Wright flick, the wild humor of a Seth Rogen comedy, and the emotional sincerity of a John Hughes movie. He is a provocateur with a big heart. B.F.A. Film - The School of Visual Arts, 2023.- IMDb mini biography by: David J. Green
