Aliha Strange is an actress, producer, and writer. She grew up in Seattle, Washington, raised by a single mom who formerly danced professionally, including for Alvin Ailey. She taught Strange to embrace her creativity. Strange attributes some of her love for art and storytelling to her expansive and gloriously eccentric family. She is known for her work in Plugs (2020) as Maya, the sassy and driven love interest of the protagonist Tyrone. She's also known for Scam Squad (2022). She has trained at The Berg Studios among others.
Aliha worked alongside the founding artistic director of Lobby Theatre @ AGBO Robin Larsen and other members of the start-up team to bring to stage its first and second theatre productions, Is God Is (2023) by Pulitzer Prize finalist Aleshea Harris and Dance Nation (2024) by Pulitzer Prize finalist Clare Barron, each time hosted by the Russo brothers.
In 2024, Strange launched her faith-based production company Strange Studios LLC.
