Orson Welles
Orson Welles died 40 years ago, but he’s back as an AI tour guide
Orson Welles
The legendary Orson Welles gave us some of the best films in cinema history (not to mention my favourite commercial outtakes), and although he’s been dead for nearly forty years, he’s been digitally resurrected as an AI tour guide for Storyrabbit.

Storyrabbit creates a personalized 60–90 second audio story based on your location—or a spot you’ve picked on the map—narrated by the host you choose. The company says, “It’s like having your own audio tour guide for the world in your pocket with unlimited stories to tell.” Storyrabbit has made a deal with the Orson Welles Estate to launch Orson Welles Presents. The app will now let users hear stories about specific locations in the iconic voice of Welles.

Image
Exclusive: Paramount Pictures’ feature adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling 2019 novel, Regretting You, has finaled its cast adding Sam Morelos, Clancy Brown, and Ethan Samuel Costanilla (Oh. What. Fun). The movie will open in theaters on Oct. 24.

The group joins previously announced Allison Williams, Dave Franco, Mckenna Grace, Mason Thames, Willa Fitzgerald and Scott Eastwood in the Josh Boone directed and written feature. The first draft was written by Susan McMartin (After).

Blurb for Regretting You: A shocking car wreck takes the lives of two family members, unlocking a series of secrets, lies and regrets. The people left behind can’t move forward without looking at the past. Regretting You explores what’s left behind after a tragedy, the messiness and grief, but also the beauty of life and love.

Robert Kulzer is producing for Constantin Film alongside Brunson Green, Anna Todd (Frayed Pages Media), and Flavia Viotti. Hoover, Williams, Franco, and Grace are executive producing.

Morelos is represented by manager Suzanne Coston and Paradigm. Brown is represented by CAA and managed by Kelly Garner at Pop Art Management. Costanilla is represented by managed by Jennifer Bolla (Hummel) from Formation Talent Agency.

Following the massive success of Hoover’s It Ends with Us grossing north of $351M, Hollywood is fast tracking the author’s novels to the big screen in the John Grisham sense of the word. Other Hoover hits coming to a theater near you are Reminders of Him at Universal and Verity at Amazon MGM Studios.
