Although the Legendary Pokémon of the Pokémon world are much more well-known in comparison, the Mythical Pokémon in the franchise still have great fame of their own. Just like Legendary Pokémon, Mythical Pokémon all differ from one another for the most part, and each has their own role to play. For example, the Mythical Pokémon Jirachi is usually asleep, but when awake, it has the power to grant wishes. Meanwhile, the Mythical Pokémon Arceus is one of the oldest Pokémon in history, having been the one to first create the entire universe.
From this ever-increasing roster, the Melody Pokémon, more commonly known as Meloetta, has become somewhat forgotten over the years. Ash Ketchum has collected and trained an impressive list of Pokémon throughout his journey across multiple regions, from his humble beginnings in the Kanto Region to his sun-soaked antics in the Alola Region. From the rebellious and mighty Charizard to the playful and loyal Pikachu, Ash's Pokémon have allowed him to further his quest of becoming a Pokémon Champion while showcasing his myriad talents as a Trainer.
Yet Ash's journey, as lengthy and impactful as it was, saw the Pokémon Trainer miss out on prime Pokémon that would have helped him grow as a Trainer, especially the Grass-type Pokémon. From the charmingly adorable Cottonee to the classical Oddish, these Grass-type Pokémon would have brought exciting new prospects to Ash's tale if he'd caught them and added them to his team.

The Pokmon Center has just revealed its Christmas plushie lineup, and it features an adorable Pikachu all ready for winter. The Pokmon Company releases new merch every year for Christmas and other holidays and seasonal events. This year's designs are all adorable, but the Pikachu might just be the cutest that the company has ever released.
The little 9-inch-tall Pikachu sports an incredibly soft feel and look, and is wearing a Santa hat, an embroidered fuzzy scarf, and a little light-blue sweater with a Staryu detail in the middle. The Pikachu's little face and signature pink cheeks peek out from between the scarf and hat, and its normally perky ears trail down behind its head, pressed down by the hat. The adorable Pikachu is part of the 2024 Pokmon Holiday collection and is available to purchase from the Pokmon Center for $27.99.

Pokmon's Diamond & Pearl era (Generation 4) has been regarded as one of the greatest periods of the entire franchise, with both the video game and tie-in anime series being hallmarks of their respective series. Of course, as was the case with the previous Gold & Silver (Generation 2) and Ruby & Sapphire (Generation 3) eras, the popularity of Diamond & Pearl led to a few anime movie specials being created.
Within these Diamond & Pearl movies, there's a decent amount of continuity linking them together as an almost saga-like storyline. This, in turn, helped project the Diamond & Pearl movies to become fan favorites among the Pokmon anime fans, which was only bolstered further by many fans' admiration for the Diamond & Pearl era. But while these movies receive particular fanfare, which ones were the best, and which ones were only close to great?

Several overpowered cards have been released throughout the game's history that offer powerful abilities and strategic advantages. Overpowered banned cards like Lysandre's Trump Card and Shaymin Ex significantly impacted the game upon their release. Many of the most powerful cards create the option to draw more cards into a player's hand.
The Pokémon Trading Card Game has been around since 1996, and during those decades, there have been some incredibly powerful cards released for the Tcg, including many that ended up so overpowered that they have since been banned from tournament play. Pokémon regularly debuts new styles of cards with featured abilities to make sets stand out from each other, and sometimes, this leads to certain cards packing a real Pika Punch over the rest.
As new expansions to the game are added regularly, it is always exciting to see what new abilities are added. In the case of Ace Spec cards,...

Ash's companions have varying numbers of caught Pokémon, with Goh having caught the most at 108. Some companions have fewer Pokémon due to limited screen time or focusing on developing a few Pokémon. Catching Pokémon is important, but having few Pokémon allows for better development and bonding with each individual Pokémon.
The Pokémon anime may not really be about catching them all, but catching Pokémon is still a huge part of the series, and it's a major moment whenever a main character adds a new Pokémon to their collection. As the main character, Ash has caught quite a few Pokémon, with his total over the course of the entire series being 78--a respectable number in a world where these creatures need love and attention from their trainers. While his companions have largely had their own goals that didn't involve catching a lot of Pokémon, it's still interesting to wonder: how do...

The Teal Mask Dlc for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet introduces new and returning creatures, expanding the Pokédex in the Generation 9 games. Classic Pokémon like Ninetales, Mamoswine, and Chandelure are making a comeback, potentially changing the competitive meta. The new additions in the Teal Mask Dlc add significant value to the game.
There are several new and returning creatures in the Teal Mask Dlc for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, all of which increase the Pokédex’s numbers in the Generation 9 games. The new Dlc is the first part of the larger expansion pack called The Hidden Treasure Of Area Zero. The second Dlc for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is called The Indigo Disk, though it does not yet have a release date. The Gen 9 games for Nintendo Switch increased the National Dex count to over 1,000 creatures, and the new Teal Mask Dlc is continuing the expansion by bringing new Pokémon for Trainers to catch.

While there are no cards currently restricted within the Standard and Unlimited Pokémon Trading Card Game (Tcg) formats, there have been some recent updates to the list of banned Pokémon cards in the Expanded format fo 2023. The overall goal that The Pokémon Company has for the Expanded format style is to allow players to have the option of several additional cards in tournaments than can be utilized in Standard format play and includes every card since Pokémon Black and White. Having this many cards available means that naturally there are going to be some which are either overpowered or might have other reasons for being banned from games.
Many avid players will not be surprised when looking at the list of banned Pokémon Tcg cards since many of them were banned previously, although there are some changes to the list for 2023. All officially sanctioned Play! Pokémon events will now be...

From now until November 23rd, Trainers in Pokémon Go will be able to face off against the fearsome Water/Dark Pokémon Mega Gyarados in Raids at their local Gyms. First introduced as one of the original 151 pocket monsters, Gyarados gained a Mega Evolved form in Pokémon X and Y, with a type change that prevents players from exploiting its previously glaring weakness to Electric-type Pokémon and moves. A vicious and physically intimidating Pokémon prone to violent rampages, Mega Gyarados poses a threat even to the most prepared teams and veterans in Pokémon Go. To triumph in this raid, players need to bring powerful Pokémon capable of exploiting Mega Gyarados’ weaknesses to bring this particular pocket monster down.
Mega Gyarados received its own Raid Day earlier this year, but between now and November 23rd, players will be able to battle it in raids in their local Gyms. Raids in Pokémon Go...
