The Marvel Cinematic Universe might be the biggest flex in Hollywood, but not every star is lining up for a sequel. Some actors have hung up their capes for good, done with all the spandex and CGI madness. Meanwhile, a few are itching to jump back into the action, practically sliding into Kevin Feige’s DMs for another shot.

Warning: Contains Spoilers for Deadpool/Wolverine #1! Deadpool has had no shortage of costume and design changes in Marvel Comics, from his darker X-Force suit to Deadpool’s more recent Wwiii redesign. However, his newest suit isn’t just an aesthetic change, but rather the set-up for a major problem that will potentially impact the entire Marvel Universe. In fact, this new suit in question has effectively linked Deadpool with a greatly forgotten ‘90s X-Men villain - one who is primed for a major comeback.
In Deadpool/Wolverine #1 by Benjamin Percy and Joshua Cassara, Deadpool recruits Wolverine for a mission, which isn’t entirely out of the ordinary, but it is in this case. Not so much because of the mission itself, but because of the way Deadpool was acting. Rather than being his incessantly talkative self, Deadpool was acting more like a Terminator. Warning: Contains Spoilers for Timeslide #1! The Avengers have faced no shortage of potentially world-ending threats, and have even conquered foes capable of obliterating vast portions of the cosmos, and even the entire universe. However, above them all, there’s one super-villain team that stands as the Avengers’ all-time greatest enemy. At least, that was the idea when they were first introduced. But, truth be told, that never really panned out. Now, after 60 years, Marvel finally has the chance to revive this team and actually make it a legitimate threat to the Avengers.

The Deadpool movies might not be known for their drama, but the trilogy has managed to intersperse some shockingly emotional and serious scenes throughout the humor and violence. It's no secret that comedy and action are the two major pillars holding the Deadpool movie franchise aloft, with Ryan Reynolds embodying the irreverent humor of the bloody mercenary like it's the role he was born to play. As crass as the series is, it has its occasional moments of genuine drama and palpable earnestness sprinkled throughout the depravity.
For the most part, the most serious scenes of the Deadpool franchise center around Wade Wilson's love interest, Vanessa Carlysle. By allowing Vanessa's scenes to be more serious without interruption by a million quippy one-liners, the series does a good job of making their relationship part of the genuine stakes the various conflicts of the trilogy establish. Beyond that, deuteragonists like Wolverine and...

We're guessing you've all heard about the woman scammed out of $850,000 by a fake Brad Pitt. To bring you up to speed, the news broke this week that a 53-year-old French woman named Anne lost close to $1 million after being fooled into thinking she was communicating with the Deadpool 2, Fight Club, and Bullet Train star.
It started when Anne received a message on Instagram in September 2023 from a woman claiming to be Pitt's mother. She played matchmaker and connected the woman with someone claiming to be the actor; they then used fake social media accounts and AI-generated selfies to convince Anne they were the real deal.
A year later, "Brad" broke the news that he needed urgent surgery to treat kidney cancer but didn't have any money for the life-saving operation because his bank accounts had been frozen by his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie.

The first issue of Marvel Comics last team-up title starring Deadpool and Wolverine ended with a shocking reveal, as legendary X-franchise villain Stryfe, the villainous duplicate of hero Cable, made his return. In contemporary times, cameos remain a strong feature of the entertainment industry. It's a common practice with most films, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe surely sits atop the cameo throne. The late Stan Lee appeared a whopping 38 times in different Marvel movies and made over 1,000 cameos in other projects. These little shout-outs had become a defining trait of the MCU, up until the comic icon's unfortunate death. The blockbuster superhero franchise will receive its latest installment with Captain America: Brave New World, and it's heartbreaking to realize that he won't be seen.
The idea of a surprise cameo is relatively straightforward: a well-known individual makes a small appearance on screen, and their unexpected presence becomes a spectacle. However, several factors revolve around their inclusion. Does the person play themselves, or are they merely a background character? More often than not, these short performances have little influence over the plot. In some cases,...

Love him or hate him, there’s no question that Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld has left an indelible mark on comic book history. Co-created with writer Fabian Nicieza, Deadpool has grown into one of Marvel’s most popular characters, but there are relatively few comics starring the Merc with the Mouth drawn by Liefeld himself.
Rob Liefeld was one of Marvel’s biggest artists before he left with six others to form Image Comics in 1992. As such, Liefeld drew Deadpool only a handful of times before breaking off on his own. Recent years have seen the artist produce more comics starring Wade Wilson, but now that Liefeld has announced he’ll be leaving Marvel once more following the wrap-up of the current Deadpool Team-Up miniseries, it seems like the perfect time to look back on the artist’s best work for his signature character.

2021's Dune was a huge success, but Dune: Part Two came to improve an already high-quality film series. It was bigger, spicier, and tougher than the first one. Now, one of the stars of the series wants the director's efforts recognized by the Academy.
Speaking to Variety about the film and Denis Villeneuve's creativity, Josh Brolin noted he wants the director to get an Oscar. Brolin is one of the several MCU actors from Dune, and he played Gurney Halleck in both installments. The actor noted that, if Villeneuve didn't get recognized with at least a nomination for Best Director, he would "quit acting."

The CBS series Bull offered a unique take on the familiar legal procedural drama. Bull starred NCIS' Michael Weatherly as Dr. Jason Bull, a psychologist who uses his expertise to sway the members of the jury. Morena Baccarin still wants to play Copycat in a Deadpool movie, potentially Deadpool 4. Morena Baccarin was one of the best parts of 2016's Deadpool, playing Vanessa Carlyle, Wade Wilson's love interest. Fans of the comics know that Vanessa is actually the shapeshifting mutant known as Copycat. 2016's Deadpool seemingly set the stage for Baccarin to become the character following her imprisonment in the same machine that activated Wade Wilson's mutant abilities. However, the Deadpool sequels have sidelined her and never allowed her to take on the Copycat mantle.
Speaking with Comic Book, Baccarin says she is still open to playing Copycat in the future Deadpool movie. While Deadpool 4 is not officially announced, following Deadpool & Wolverine's $1.3 billion gross, it is a safe assumption that the Merc with the Mouth will return. The actress did joke about how Marvel needs to act fast and how long she has been waiting to play Copycat.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has some of Hollywood's most in-demand stars, and many actors in the franchise would be perfect for new hero or villain roles in the DC Universe. After directing some of the McU's best movies with the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, James Gunn has left Marvel for DC. The director has already cast some MCU stars in the announced Dcu projects, including actors like David Harbour, Maria Bakalova, Frank Grillo, and more.
The MCU is rumored to be facing some form of a reboot after 2027's Avengers: Secret Wars. That could lead to major players departing the franchise in favor of a new generation taking over. That possibility and the fact that Gunn wants to cast Guardians of the Galaxy and MCU actors in future Dcu movies could lead to some huge character swaps. Here are 20 MCU stars who could find perfect roles for them in the Dcu.

Josh Brolin is an incredibly talented actor who would make a great addition to the Dcu, but evidently, he didn't resonate with the role of Hal Jordan. Brolin has been acting since he was a child, with his breakout role being The Goonies while he was still a small boy. While his passion for acting remained, it took time for the actor to shed the identity of a child star and be viewed as an actor who could compete with other greats of the day, but that all changed when he appeared in 2007s No Country for Old Men. Since then, Brolin has consistently been able to tackle pretty much any role he sets his mind too, and turn down the offers that don't suit him.
While he remains a talented drama star, Brolin is not afraid to venture into the world of sci-fi and fantasy, as seen by his appearance in the MCU.

Fresh off the announcement of the return of his Youngbloods comic series, Rob Liefeld spoke to Screen Rant about bringing back the original Image Comics series, and more, in this fantastic interview. Liefeld spoke about why the time was right for the series to return, as well as touching on the history of Image, and his decision to say goodbye to Marvel Comics for good with one final Deadpool story.
In 1992, Rob Liefeld had already carved out a place in comic book history with the creations of characters like Cable and Deadpool, and his unmistakable if somewhat controversial artistic style. His decision to leave Marvel Comics, alongside several of his colleagues, and found Image Comics, further solidified him as one of the true impact players of the last several decades in the industry.

Regardless of your thoughts on the film, 2011's Green Lantern starring Ryan Reynolds is a very divisive film that Reynolds himself still pokes fun at. Since that movie, we haven't seen a live-action Hal Jordan, and fans were starting to wonder if it would ever happen again. Hype began to build up once it was announced a new Lanterns series was being developed as part of James Gunn's new DC universe. The long wait is over, and Kyle Chandler is officially playing Hal Jordan in the upcoming HBO series, Lanterns.
While Aaron Pierre, a popular fan cast following his star-making turn in Rebel Ridge, captured many of the headlines after being cast as John Stewart, his Hal Jordan costar Chandler was only initially confirmed to be in talks for the role. Now, James Gunn has taken to Threads to reveal that, yes, Chandler will hold the mantle of Green...

Over the summer, Deadpool & Wolverine became the top-grossing R-rated film of all time, exceeding all expectations for the franchise. Critics gave it strong marks, and so did audiences. But if one were to offer a complaint, perhaps it’s that it could use a little bit more Peter, the endearingly dorky character who became a fan favorite thanks to Rob Delaney’s performance in Deadpool 2.
Well, ask and you shall receive.
In a deleted scene from the movie, Peter finds love, sharing a kiss with Loki‘s B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku). The Hollywood Reporter won’t spoil the rest, but you can watch the exclusive clip below.
The film hit digital on Oct. 1, and arrives on physical media on Oct. 22. In addition to deleted scenes like the one featuring Peter, there’s also featurettes and commentary from filmmaker Shawn Levy and star Ryan Reynolds, who co-wrote and produced alongside Levy.

Deadpool's comic book co-creator thinks Josh Brolin's Cable needs to return in multiple projects after being absent from Deadpool & Wolverine. Brolin's Cable was one of the main characters of Deadpool 2. Before Disney bought Fox, an X-Force movie was in development, which would have once again seen Brolin's Cable alongside Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool, Zazie Beetz's Domino, and more. However, the Marvel Cinematic Universe had other plans, with Brolin not being part of Deadpool & Wolverine's star-studded cast. Now, one of Deadpool's creators wants to see Brolin return as Cable for the long haul.
On Twitter, Rob Liefeld commented on how "it is a missed opportunity" not to have Josh Brolin back as Cable in the MCU.

For a time, it looked like rising star Jonathan Majors was on track to establish himself as the best MCU villain since, well, Thanos. However, when Marvel Studios fired the actor after he was found guilty of two misdemeanour counts of assault and harassment, the MCU lost its Kang(s).
We'd assumed the role might be recast but with the Multiverse Saga struggling to strike a chord with fans, it was clear something needed to change. That something is the return of Robert Downey Jr., not as Tony Stark/Iron Man but as Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom!
As exciting as this news may be, it also raises a lot of big questions about what this means for Avengers: Doomsday, Avengers: Secret Wars, and beyond. Fortunately for you, we're now taking a deep dive into that in the hope of figuring out what Marvel Studios has planned for us.

How much you are going to enjoy MCU’s latest buddy super-merc adventure, Deadpool and Wolverine, depends upon your willingness to be nostalgia-baited by Sony and Fox’s Marvel movies, tolerance for Deadpool’s overused meta and occasionally stale in your face humor, and, of course, if you are a fan of Hugh Jackman’s iconic take on Logan. The Marvel Cinematic Universe had struggled big time throughout its fourth phase and the first half of its fifth as well, despite having no competition from rivalling fronts—and no, it’s not superhero fatigue that has leached into the interconnected universe; it’s simply lacking a sense of ingenuity and honest effort in producing comic-book movies. As a result, MCU has veered once again to a good old fan service-oriented formulaic solution in the form of Deadpool and Wolverine, bringing together the iconic antiheroes to very literally and figuratively save...

The following contains spoilers for Deadpool & Wolverine currently in theaters.
After nearly a decade of jokes in the movies and from star Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman's iconic Marvel character joins forces with the Merc With a Mouth. Deadpool & Wolverine is a stunningly funny Marvel Cinematic Universe adventure and loving tribute to the 20th Century Fox era of Marvel films. What's most important, especially if one is in a theater reading this, is that Deadpool & Wolverine does have mid- and post-credits scenes, but not typical ones for the MCU.
Despite Kevin Feige's assertion Deadpool is in the MCU, the film still stands alone as part of the larger Marvel Cinematic Multiverse. In fact, Deadpool & Wolverine makes a number of jokes about the Multiverse saga and the post-Avengers Endgame state of Marvel Studios. At the point in the movie, Deadpool jokes to Wolverine about joining the MCU "at a low point.

Deadpool & Wolverine appears to have brought back an incredible number of characters and actors from across Marvel movie history, but not Josh Brolin after his recent appearance in Deadpool 2 as Cable. However, Deadpool & Wolverine is the biggest event of the franchise so far, as it marks the characters' debut in the MCU.

What's next for Wade & Logan, you ask? Well, it depends on which Wade & Logan we're talking about.
The issue with that question, and one of the major issues with "Deadpool & Wolverine" (if not the entire Multiverse Saga) is one of variants. When the Marvel Cinematic Universe began back in the merry days of 2008, a post-credits tease at the end of Jon Favreau's "Iron Man" promised more Marvel characters would make it to the big screen and share space. As this shot-calling prophecy came to pass, it wasn't just a fulfillment of the pipe dreams of so many comic book lovers; it was also a promise that these characters would be done the "right" way.

Deadpool & Wolverine establishes that the Merc with the Mouth resides on Earth-100005, the same world inhabited by the X-Men and the reality where Wolverine died in 2017's Logan.
Early on in the threequel, we learn Wade Wilson used Cable's time-travel device to visit Earth-616 and request entry to The Avengers. Happy Hogan politely turns him down and the anti-hero later reveals he destroyed the device upon returning to his own timeline.
The Tva was aware of what Deadpool did but chose not to intervene...at least until now. Loki made it clear the organisation's reach is pretty much endless and we discover here Mr. Paradox has been tasked with overseeing the death of Earth-100005.
He explains how every reality has an "anchor being," a person of such importance that, when they die, so does their world. In Earth-100005's case, Logan's heroic sacrifice sent shockwaves through his world and,...

One of the post-credits scenes for "Deadpool 2" sees Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) travel back in time to the events of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," the film that infamously sewed the Merc With a Mouth's, er, mouth shut in its climax. It’s no secret that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has had a bit of a struggle lately – spread too thin, films that haven’t hit as well as they’d like, and spinning all the plates has left fans feeling a bit frustrated and exhausted. Well, Marvel Studios sees you and feels your pain. So let’s just tear it all down and try to start anew, and who better to do it with than Ryan Reynolds’ Merc With a Mouth, Deadpool, with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine along for the ride?
Deadpool & Wolverine may be a Marvel Studios movie, but it’s got the heart of a 20th Century Fox project. Before Disney swooped in and bought the studio, Fox was exciting fans with the X-Men films. Once Disney bought Fox, however, fans of those projects may have felt that all their investment into those movies was wiped away.

Kevin Feige has answered a long-standing question about Marvels original X-Men movie, sharing the reason why fans did not get to see the characters in their iconic comic-accurate costumes. While the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine movie is about to right a wrong by giving Hugh Jackmans Wolverine his yellow and blue suit for the first time in a live-action project, it seems that his first appearance in black leather was all down to a popular Keanu Reeves movie released just before X-Mens debut in 2000.
While speaking at a special event ahead of Deadpool & Wolverines premiere, Feige addressed the reason for the redesign of the X-Mens costumes. According to the Marvel Studios boss, someone at the time decided that the huge reaction to The Matrix in 1999 was enough to warrant trying to emulate the look of that sci-fi blockbusters central characters. The live-action X-Men wore unique outfits in their original live-action film, trading in colorful tights from the comic books and cartoons for a much more basic black leather. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has attributed this change to the success of a certain Keanu Reeves movie.
Per Brandon Davis of ComicBook.com, the black leather design of the X-Men characters' outfits was inspired by The Matrix. Because The Matrix had been such a big hit upon its release in 1999, it was believed that the black leather look would also help X-Men become a more successful film.

Deadpool & Wolverine will bring the Fox X-Men character into the MCU. Since Deadpool is so beloved, it makes sense that Cable could also make an appearance sometime in the future. Should Cable return, it would also be a chance to fix many glaring problems with the fan-favorite character.
The Deadpool movies were surprise runaway hits thanks to Ryan Reynold's ability to embody the Merc with a Mouth in a way only the likes of Robert Downey Jr. or Hugh Jackman could do. Since then, the only thing fans have wanted was for the character, previously in a semi-standalone universe, to be included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, with Deadpool & Wolverine finally on the way, fans can see how Marvel's most annoying character will make his way to the MCU. The first "Deadpool" film was a love story buried underneath an action-comedy. The root of every choice Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) makes is his love for Vanessa Carlysle (Morena Baccarin). The two share both many wild love scenes in "Deadpool" and a running in-joke about which of them had the worst childhood. Vanessa can even look past Wade's tumorous skin because she likes the man underneath.
Silver screen Deadpool only has eyes for Vanessa but the comics are a different story. Like most of his fellow superheroes, Deadpool has had many short-lived flings with women from all corners of the Marvel Universe. He's even bested Thanos by catching the eye of Lady Death. Deadpool is an X-Men adjacent character; he's not a mutant, but he debuted in "The New Mutants" and has deep ties to Wolverine and Cable. No surprise, he's dated an X-Woman or two.
