Josh Brolin is an incredibly talented actor who would make a great addition to the Dcu, but evidently, he didn't resonate with the role of Hal Jordan. Brolin has been acting since he was a child, with his breakout role being The Goonies while he was still a small boy. While his passion for acting remained, it took time for the actor to shed the identity of a child star and be viewed as an actor who could compete with other greats of the day, but that all changed when he appeared in 2007s No Country for Old Men. Since then, Brolin has consistently been able to tackle pretty much any role he sets his mind too, and turn down the offers that don't suit him.

While he remains a talented drama star, Brolin is not afraid to venture into the world of sci-fi and fantasy, as seen by his appearance in the MCU.

In an interview with comic book legend Rob Liefeld, the author and artist revealed that Marvel asked him to revisit Cable for the character's 35th anniversary next year but Liefeld turned down the offer, stating that, "at some point, you just got to walk away." After nearly a decade of jokes in the movies and from star Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman's iconic Marvel character joins forces with the Merc With a Mouth. Deadpool & Wolverine is a stunningly funny Marvel Cinematic Universe adventure and loving tribute to the 20th Century Fox era of Marvel films. What's most important, especially if one is in a theater reading this, is that Deadpool & Wolverine does have mid- and post-credits scenes, but not typical ones for the MCU.

Despite Kevin Feige's assertion Deadpool is in the MCU, the film still stands alone as part of the larger Marvel Cinematic Multiverse. Kevin Feige has answered a long-standing question about Marvels original X-Men movie, sharing the reason why fans did not get to see the characters in their iconic comic-accurate costumes. While the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine movie is about to right a wrong by giving Hugh Jackmans Wolverine his yellow and blue suit for the first time in a live-action project, it seems that his first appearance in black leather was all down to a popular Keanu Reeves movie released just before X-Mens debut in 2000.

While speaking at a special event ahead of Deadpool & Wolverines premiere, Feige addressed the reason for the redesign of the X-Mens costumes. According to the Marvel Studios boss, someone at the time decided that the huge reaction to The Matrix in 1999 was enough to warrant trying to emulate the look of that sci-fi blockbusters central characters. Deadpool & Wolverine will bring the Fox X-Men character into the MCU. Since Deadpool is so beloved, it makes sense that Cable could also make an appearance sometime in the future. Should Cable return, it would also be a chance to fix many glaring problems with the fan-favorite character.

The Deadpool movies were surprise runaway hits thanks to Ryan Reynold's ability to embody the Merc with a Mouth in a way only the likes of Robert Downey Jr. or Hugh Jackman could do. Since then, the only thing fans have wanted was for the character, previously in a semi-standalone universe, to be included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, with Deadpool & Wolverine finally on the way, fans can see how Marvel's most annoying character will make his way to the MCU.
