Clarissa has shown her love of the performing arts since a very young age.
Her first role in acting was a 2022 Hallmark movie, "We Need A Little Christmas", directed by Kevin Fair. Her latest was a lead role in a short film titled "Welcome Home" at the Mighty Asian Moviemaking Marathon (MAMM18), and voiceover in a Netflix animation production.
Clarissa is also passionate about working on her music, with special focus on piano and vocal, having won First Place prizes, class winners and first place scholarships at various music festivals, such as the Richmond Music Festival, the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival, and the VSO School of Music Piano Festival.
She is also a Top Award winner at the 7th Annual Worldwide Mandarin Recitation Competition (Canada Division) and Gold Prize winner (Worldwide Division).
She also performs in operas annually with Crescendo Operatic Society, most recently as Tiny Tim in a production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, as Dew Fairy (with solo aria) and in the Gingerbread Chorus in Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, and as one of the Second Spirits in Mozart's "The Magic Flute".
Clarissa's favorite way to stay physically active is by kicking it up at the dojo. She is working toward her red belt in Shotokan karate.
