Strictly Come Dancing, the BBC’s biggest TV entertainment show, has gone out in style in its 20th anniversary year, crowning blind comedian Chris McCausland this year’s champion after an emotional final.

The dance show – the BBC’s original show that paved the way for dozens of international versions (including the US’s Dancing with the Stars) – had had a chequered few months, weathering a string of controversies, with two professional dancers accused of abusive behaviour in rehearsals (both denied) and a group of new guidelines introduced to protect celebrities’ welfare.

What the show desperately needed were some positive headlines to sideline these bad stories, and that’s what it has enjoyed – with this series combining unprecedented standards of dancing, and an inspiring champion in blind comedian Chris McCausland.

For the first few weeks of this series, McCausland remained at the bottom of the leaderboard, saved regularly by the public’s vote.

The second week of Strictly Come Dancing saw a variety of performances, with some celebrities stepping up their routines, while others struggled to meet the judges’ expectations. Love Island season 8 cast members have been pursuing various opportunities, such as modeling and brand partnerships, after the show's finale. Some cast members, like Paige Thorne and Adam Collard, have returned to their previous careers, while others, like Tasha Ghouri, have taken on new ventures like podcasting. Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti, the winners of Love Island season 8, have both secured partnerships with fashion brands, but unfortunately, they have since split up.

Love Island season 8 aired its finale nearly a year ago, and the contestants have been busier than ever. Tasha Ghouri looked captivating as she posed in her new turquoise and black two-piece bikini for Ann Summer’s swimwear campaign.

The 24-year-old influencer and reality TV star showed off her tiny waist and stunning figure posing poolside. The turquoise swimwear crossed over her torso and had metal ring detailing to pull off the look.

The British beauty looked ravishing as she posed for the camera, with one hand locked at her waist and the other hanging over blonde beach waves.

In another photo, the Love Island star posed in the same swimwear, coming out of the pool as she showed off her backside. She is also wearing a khaki bucket hat. To complement the look, Ghouri added silver earrings that dropped down almost to her shoulders.

More shots were taken of her in the pool, basking in the sun and posing with her tongue out.

Love Island UK season 8 was so beloved by fans that they are worried about how Love Island UK season 9 will compare. The reality dating series has been on air since 2015, but not every season has been a huge hit with fans. Luckily, last season was. Fans loved watching the chaos go down in the villa and were very pleased with the islanders. Ekin-Su CülcüloÄ.lu and Davide Sanclimenti were fan favorites, so it was no surprise when they took home the first-place prize at the end of the season. The two were so popular they went on to star in their own series, Ekin-Su and Davide: Homecomings.

Luca Bish and Gemma Owen have split up three months after leaving the Love Island UK villa. Luca and Gemma were season 8's runners-up, ultimately losing the grand 50,000 pound prize to Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su CülcüloÄ.lu. The former couple, called "Lemma" by fans, are the first of the four finalists to call it quits.

The news of Luca and Gemma's split was reported on by the Daily Mail UK on Wednesday, Nov. 16. This came after breakup speculation was sparked by their absence from the ITV Palozza the previous day, which many of their co-stars attended. Likewise, Gemma, who dated co-star Jaques O'Neill before the show, wasn't there when Luca appeared at Monday's TV Choice Awards. Love Island 2022 winners Ekin-Su CülcüloÄ.lu and Davide Sanclimenti are returning to ITV2 with a new series, Homecomings.

The two-part series, which ITV has announced is “coming soon”, will see the couple travel to Davide’s native Italy and Ekin-Su’s hometown in Turkey.

Davide will give Ekin-Su a whistle-stop tour of the Italian city of love, Verona, made famous by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

Then they will travel through the Tuscan valley, Ekin-Su will cook gnocchi with Davide’s mother, and eventually fly to Turkey, where they will visit Istanbul.

Ekin-Su will introduce Davide to the people she met while living and working as an actor in Turkey. They will also go on an eight-hour road trip in a campervan to Ekin-Su’s family village of Odemis.

First, the facts: there is, at the time of writing, no hard evidence to suggest that actor Rose Ayling-Ellis has joined the cast of Doctor Who. The BBC has made no announcement. Actor and deaf campaigner Ayling-Ellis has not publicly responded to the suggestion that her recent exit from EastEnders will be followed up by a trip in the Tardis, as the new companion to Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor.

The rumour emerged on Monday the 22nd of August after Doctor Who fan Owen (@WhovianLife) Tweeted “I wonder if this could be for #DoctorWho?” alongside a quote from Ayling-Ellis saying that she was currently banned from talking about her next job. Speaking to The Mirror about what she had lined up after leaving EastEnders, Ayling-Ellis said “You will find out more at the end of this month. I’m not allowed to say anything!”
