Rishav Chakraborty is an Indian actor, singer and music composer. He was born in Kolkata, West Bengal and grew up in a remote village of Falta South 24 Parganas, West Bengal.
The versatile artist developed a passion for acting from a very young age. He participated in school plays and performed in public stages. Rishav graduated from Scottish Church College with a degree in Sanskrit.
He pursued his acting dreams and got enrolled in the Nandikar a renowned theatre group of India and Chidakas Kalalya, theatre group. The maverick artist completed Masters in Classical Vocal music from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata with 1st Division marks.
Rishav participated in different workshops, training and Seminars. He actively participated in the workshop on Prakrta: It's Origin and Development, organized by the Department of Sanskrit Scottish Church College. The artist also participated in an international workshop on File and Media studies, organized by Khass Khabor Media and certified by Wordsmith University.
He received certificate on skill training in Screen Acting from SRFTI (Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, GOI). Later, he attended the course in Film Appreciation under Chalachitra Satabarsa Bhawan (Dept.of I& CA, Govt of W.B). Rishav successfully participated in the Seminar on 225 years of German translation of Kalidasa's drama Abhijnanasakuntala and science of Comparative Philology organized by The Asiatic Society.
He was honored by a number of rewards on Folk song, Solo song, Group song by different authorities as Nehru Yuva Kendra (Ministry of Youth affairs and sports, GOI).
He made his television debut with Pandob Goyenda on Zee Bangla, playing the role of Bilu in the detective and thriller TV series. His debut film was Kishmish, by Dev Entertainment Venture while his song debut was Pichutan Anginay (independent) Ramdhonu (Zee Music).
He played various roles in the family drama television series Dhulkona as Kabul on Star Plus. He also featured in Sundari as Sid on Sun Bangla, followed by Khelnabari as Subho on Zee Bangla. Besides this, Rishav also went on to play the role of Piklu in Neemphuler Madhu on Zee Bangla. His upcoming projects include 10th June and Raas.
