Shweta Pasricha is a young Indian actor known for her work in Hindi films, web shows, and television commercials. Raised by her mother, who is a nursing school principal in Delhi, Shweta's passion for acting was nurtured by her father, a theatre artist, writer, and director. She began her theatrical journey in childhood and attended a Theatre in Education workshop organized by the National School of Drama.
She gained admission to Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, through the acting quota and actively participated in theater activities with the college's dramatics society, The Players, under the guidance of Keval Arora. Notable plays she performed in include Vijay Tendulkar's "Kutte" and Enda Walsh's "Chatroom." In 2016, Shweta made her film acting debut in the Haryanvi regional film, "Bin Tere Kya Jeena." In 2019, Shweta's love for theater and acting led her to Mumbai. The following year, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, she ventured into online theater and appeared in the play "Allegedly" by Mallika Taneja, which garnered national and international recognition. She also made her web series debut in 2020 with "Aarya 2" on Disney+ Hotstar, portraying the character of Roop. Additionally, Shweta has appeared in various television commercials for brands such as Toyota, Haldirams, Licious, FirstCry, and Manyavar.
In 2022, she filmed her first feature film, "Sarvagunn Sampann," produced by Maddock and directed by Sonali Rattan Deshmukh. Currently, Shweta is shooting for "Aarya 3" and another short film in which she plays the lead role.
