Michael D. Jones: A Seasoned Producer with a Passion for Storytelling

Born in Oakland, California, Michael D. Jones has dedicated over 30 years to the art of filmmaking, specializing in the crucial task of assembling and facilitating successful production teams. His journey began with a foundation in performance, studying under the esteemed Anna Deveare Smith at San Francisco's prestigious ACT. In 1991, he transitioned to Los Angeles, embarking on a hands-on career that saw him rise through the ranks of production. From PA to Location Manager, 2nd AD, Production Coordinator, Unit Production Manager, and finally, Producer, Jones gained invaluable experience across every facet of filmmaking.

His expertise as a UPM and Line Producer spans a remarkable range of formats, including network and cable television, multi-camera series, reality television, music videos, industrials, film shorts, and feature films. Notable television credits include "EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION," "UNSOLVED MYSTERIES," and the iconic HBO comedy specials of Bill Maher, Kathy Griffin, Chris Rock, and David Spade.

Jones has brought his expertise to a diverse array of feature films. Recent projects include the TRIBECA 2023 premiere "CINNAMON," starring Damon Wayans and Pam Grier; Justine Bateman's "VIOLET," featuring Olivia Munn, "ROBOTS" with Shailene Woodley, "HIGH VOLTAGE" with Luke Wilson and David Arquette; "INTRUDER" with Moby; and the remake of the horror classic "CABIN FEVER."

Looking ahead, 2025 will see the release of "CODE 3," starring Rainn Wilson and Lil Rel, produced by Wayfarer Studios, and the comedy "LETS HAVE KIDS!" for MRC Studios.

Beyond his prolific film career, Jones is committed to sharing positivity and inspiration. In 2022, he released his first book, "MANIFESTING JOY & HAPPINESS DAILY," and in 2024 launched the podcast "IN THE MOMENT with Michael D. Jones," a 30-minute show featuring interviews with industry professionals and diverse individuals.

As the founder of Silver Heart Productions, Jones continues to develop a slate of exciting projects. He is a proud member of the DGA, SAG, and PGA, and currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A die-hard Golden State Warriors and Prince fan, Michael D. Jones brings passion and dedication to every aspect of his life and work. By: Anonymous
