I live to detect (and overanalyze) every subtle dig from J.Lo, Harry and Keith, every unflattering camera angle or soundbite selection from the show’s producers, every early signal that behind the Idol curtain, an early “winner’s edit” is being fashioned from a few well-executed notes, a fawning reaction shot, some duct tape and a chain of paper clips.

When last we left "American Idol," they'd cut a bunch of people from Hollywood Week, albeit nobody we'd been made to care about in the slightest.  And as last Thursday's episode ended, Alexis Granville was clinging to life. Or, at the very least, Alexis Granville was having a panic attack.  What comes next?  Follow along with my recap of Wednesday's (February 11) episode... 8:00 p.m. Et. Brace yourselves. This list of the Top 100 Greatest Gay Movies is probably going to generate some howls of protest thanks to a rather major upset in the rankings. Frankly, one that surprised the hell out of us here at AfterElton.

But before we get to that, an introduction. A few weeks ago we asked AfterElton readers to submit up to ten of their favorite films by write-in vote. We conducted a similar poll several years ago, but a lot has happened culturally since then, and a number of worthy movies of gay interest have been released. We wanted to see how your list of favorites had changed.
