During his career spanning over 20 years, Cabo Verdean singer and multi-instrumentalist Miroca Paris performed with Cesária Évora for a decade, recorded a Grammy winning album, toured with Madonna and now is flourishing on stage with his own music.
Ademiro Jose Paris Miranda - Miroca Paris - was born in Mindelo, São Vicente island, Cabo Verde on 13 December 1979 and also became a Portuguese citizen after moving to Lisbon in his late teens. He comes from a musical family, incl his renowned uncle Tito Paris. Miroca is a singer and multi-instrumentalist, widely known as percussionist and backing vocalist for the world famous singer from his home town, Cesária Évora, with whom he performed for over a decade since he was 19 years old (2001-2011).
The "young veteran" performed and recorded with a multitude of artists, including Grammy winning album Voz d'Amor by Cesária Évora, and Madonna - who is a big fan of the 'Barefoot Diva'. Miroca Paris enjoys a flourishing career on stage with his own music: For years Miroca Paris is doing what Cesaria always wished him to do: to share his own music with the world and continue the legacy of her work.
