    • Alda Grimaldi was born on October 6, 1919 in San Pier d'Arena [now Genoa], Liguria, Italy. She was a director and actress, known for Papà investigatore (1968), Vivere ancora (1945) and La signora è servita (1945). She was married to Giovanni Francesco Rubino. She died on December 28, 2023 in Turin, Piedmont, Italy.

  • She was a close friend of the writer and poet Cesare Pavese and the actor Raf Vallone .
  • First television director hired by RAI when television was launched in Italy.
  • Alda Grimaldi, known as Dada was the first lady director of Italian television, RAI.
  • After her beginnings as an actress at Fert, she won in 1955 a competition that guaranteed her a place at Rai (which at the time had its only headquarters in Turin) and a scholarship at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, where she shared courses with future film stars such as Giuseppe De Santis (who coined her nickname Dada) and Michelangelo Antonioni.
  • She was chosen by Luchino Visconti, working on "Ossessione", his first film, as an editorial secretary.
