What’s weirder — that Oasis star Noel Gallagher once met Jerry Seinfeld or that he didn’t mercilessly bash the comedian when he told Rolling Stone?
Gallagher was mixing his Who Built the Moon? album back in the mid-2010s when he wrapped his studio session on a Friday. “See you Monday,” he told the engineer.
“Oh, we’re not in Monday, Tuesday.”
Gallagher wanted to know why not. The engineer said he’d been told not to come in. “Who the fuck told you not to come in?” the singer exploded. “I run the fucking record label — who told you not to come in?”
The engineer shrugged and told Gallagher to check with his office. The office also deflected, telling Gallagher to check with his wife, Sarah. In his typical professional manner, Gallagher asked, “What the fuck’s it got to do with her?”
The mystery was solved, in part,...

Jerry Seinfeld’s Bee Moviehas soared into Netflix’s Top 3 films, despite its 49% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Released in 2007, Bee Movie is an animated comedy co-written by Seinfeld and produced by DreamWorks Animation. The movie follows anthropomorphic honey bee Barry B. Benson (voiced by Seinfeld himself) as he tries to sue the human race for exploiting bees for honey. While the film is far from DreamWorks best animated movie, Bee Movie’s surreal premise and strangesubplot involving a relationship between Barry and the human florist Vanessa (Renée Zellweger) has earned Seinfeld’s animated movie a dedicated cult following.
Now, according to Netflix, Bee Movie is currently rising the ranks among the Top 10 Global Movies, sitting at number 3 for the second week running, with 4.8 million views. Bee Movie’s position means the animated movie sits above classics from large IPs like Wrath of the Titans, Now You See Me 2, and...

SNL Meets Blt. Is Michaels Adapting McNally’s Memoir?
Looks like Lorne Michaels may have found his next prestige project — and this one comes with steak frites and a side of passive-aggressive Instagram feuding. Sources tell Rambling Reporter that the Saturday Night Live creator has optioned Keith McNally’s dishy new memoir, I Regret Almost Everything, which charts the legendary restaurateur’s rise, fall, stroke, suicide attempt, recovery and general disappointment with humanity. In other words, comedy gold.
McNally, of course, is the onetime Brasserie King of Manhattan — the man who, as The New York Times once put it, “invented downtown” with such ’80s and ’90s hotspots as Odeon and Balthazar. More recently, he’s drawn attention for his unfiltered Instagram account — a kind of running off-off-Broadway one-man show where he’s taken aim at everyone from James Corden (banned from Balthazar in 2022 for alleged omelet-related rudeness) to Jessica Seinfeld...

In the television world, Jerry Seinfeld can easily be one of the most humorous men out there. With his sitcom Seinfeld, he truly captured the magic of the genre, and despite the series ending all the way back in 1998, people still cherish the show and its characters. Apart from gaining stardom from the show, he has also stirred up headlines because of his love life, especially his marriage to Jessica Seinfeld.

The duo met each other and quickly got married, which, for obvious reasons, raised a lot of eyebrows. This was also due to the fact that when she met him, she was still married to someone else. Seinfeld talked about the same in a past interview and detailed why he won’t be entertaining the negativity anymore.

As Oscar documentary branch voters mark their shortlist ballots, one of the features they’re considering is the award-winning Netflix film Daughters, a cinematic experience that has deeply touched audiences since its debut at Sundance.
The film directed by Angela Patton and Natalie Rae tells the story of a daddy-daughter dance where incarcerated men in the Washington, DC area get the all too rare chance to interact with their daughters in a loving and healing moment.
“It was the idea of a 12-year-old girl who wanted to connect with her father,” Rae told us at Sundance. “It’s just a very powerful story about family connection.”

One of the young daughters who participated in the film, Aubrey Smith, came to Sundance for the world premiere. “When I saw the documentary, and I looked at the dance, I realized how much it really meant to me that I got to...

I had dinner with an old friend on Wednesday at L.A.’s Hotel Bel Air, the miraculous kind of catch-up where no one looks at their phone for hours. Afterwards on my way to the valet, I crossed the hotel’s stone bridge and admired the elegant swans that live in a tiny pond beneath.
By the time I was buckled into the car, my messages had exploded with conversation about Derek Blasberg – a professional best friend to celebrities who has exhibited remarkable staying power within elite circles around the world, keeping odd jobs in and around the entertainment and media business all the while.
He, as you almost surely have heard, was “revealed” by a media report as the notable visitor who fled Gwyneth Paltrow’s Amagansett home in the Hamptons weeks ago. Blasberg reportedly ghosted the Oscar winner’s house after an unseemly incident in her guest cottage,...

Howard Stern said this week he quickly accepted Jerry Seinfeld’s apology for saying Stern has been “outflanked” by other comedians.
“I read it, and I went to my wife, ‘Oh, that’s weird,’ because Jerry is a personal friend of ours,” Stern said on Monday’s The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM.
Last week, Seinfeld made headlines for saying on the Fly on the Wall podcast that Stern, a self-proclaimed “king of all media,” had been “outflanked” by other comedy podcasts. He also said that hosts Dana Carvey and David Spade “are better than him now.” The Unfrosted director later apologized for the comments, saying “I feel really bad for what I said.”
On Monday, Stern said he first learned of the comments when he saw a headline that said Seinfeld alleged Stern was an interviewer, not a comedian.

By Monday afternoon, the buzz hit Main Street: the Seinfelds have arrived at the Sundance Film Festival.
The superstar comedian accompanied his wife, Jessica Seinfeld, to Park City for the world premiere of her Sundance documentary Daughters, held just after noon Monday at the Ray Theatre. And what an event it proved to be. “Daughters received multiple standing ovations at our sold-out premiere today,” Jessica shared on Instagram Stories along with a video showing a packed crowd on its feet. The film marks the entrepreneur, author and philanthropist’s first feature film.
Daughters, directed by Angela Patton and Natalie Rae, focuses a lens on four young girls — Aubrey, Santana, Raziah and Ja’Ana — as they prep for a special daddy-daughter dance with their incarcerated fathers as part of a unique program in a Washington D.C. jail. Per Sundance literature, Daughters is a result of an eight-year doc journey for its filmmakers.

Kerry Washington joined the Variety Studio presented by Audible at the Sundance Film Festival, where she is an executive producer on the documentary “Daughters.” The movie centers on four girls in Washington D.C. as they prepare for a Daddy Daughter Dance with their incarcerated fathers.
“People always ask me why I’m drawn to political work,” Washington said about boarding the documentary. “I’m not drawn to political work. It’s just I am a woman and I am a Black person. In this body, when I center stories about me or stories that star people that look like me, it’s considered political because the world wants to push us out into the margins and we all deserve to be at the center of our lives.”

Wednesday night’s Very Good+ Night of Comedy benefit for Jessica Seinfeld’s Good+ Foundation was mostly an evening of laughs supplied by stand-up sets from comedians Amy Schumer, Kevin Hart, Ronny Chieng, Jim Gaffigan and Jerry Seinfeld.
But Jessica Seinfeld took time at the top of the event to speak about the Israel-Hamas war that has been dominating the news since Hamas’ deadly, surprise terrorist attack Oct. 7.
“I want to take a moment to acknowledge the suffering of Israelis and Palestinians in Gaza and Israel,” she said to applause from a packed audience at New York’s Carnegie Hall.
For me, one light in the middle of all of this darkness is being here together with all of you,” she said, “To quote the great Pete Davidson on [Saturday Night Live] last weekend, ‘Sometimes comedy is a helpful way through tragedy.'”

The pop singer Pink (aka Alecia Moore) has denied Israeli flags have flown at her rock concerts after southern Israel came under attack 10 days ago from the Hamas terrorist organization.
“This post will be controversial for some. At this point, breathing is controversial. I am getting many threats because people mistakenly believe I am flying Israeli flags in my show. I am not,” Pink said on her X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday.
The pop star went on to say she has been flying Poi flags on her current tour, or flags traditionally used as a symbol of peace by New Zealand’s Maori people. “These were used many, many years ago by the Maori people in New Zealand and because they and the Maori people are beautiful to me, we use them. I do not fly flags in my show in support of anything or anyone except the rainbow flag.

Arnold Schwarzenegger took to social media today with a 12-minute video addressing the rising instances of hate crimes in America and, specifically, addressing those committing or considering committing them or anyone who hates others because of “their religion, or the color of their skin, or their gender.” His message is blunt, calling those who embrace hate “losers,” but also telling those same people, “I care about you,” and urging a different path.

Jerry Seinfeld may be a world-famous comedian - but to his kids, he's just Dad. Over the years, he's worked hard to be a good example for them. "We just try to build decent human beings. We're not trying to beat them over the head that they have to give back," he told The New York Times in 2012. "The only way to really do it, we believe, is by doing it yourself and modeling it and hopefully they follow."
Years later, it seems like his efforts have paid off. On March 1, Jerry's wife, Jessica Seinfeld, posted a photo of their son Julian on Instagram in celebration of his 20th birthday and praised him extensively in the caption for being a good person. "Happy 20th Birthday to @julianseinfeld!" she wrote. "Your work ethic enables you to balance a heavy college course load with a job you love. Your sharply tuned Bs detector suffers not one fool.

Amid concerns about a so-called “Day of Hate” reportedly planned tomorrow by White Supremacists and other fringe groups, Jessica Seinfeld took to her social media to ask friends of the Jewish community to “counter this idea with their love and light.”
Seinfeld suggests joining a Jewish friend at synagogue for Shabbat in order to “fill our sanctuaries with courage and friendship.” Another idea she suggests is to “invite yourself to a Shabbat meal,” or “call or text your Jewish friends and simply say ‘I’m here.’ “
Here is the full text of her post:
Some fringe white supremacist groups have planned a national “day of hate” against the Jewish people on Saturday. We are hoping our friends will help us counter this idea with their love and light.
Will you consider joining a Jewish friend at synagogue for Shabbat? Help us fill our sanctuaries with courage and friendship.
Invite yourself to a Shabbat meal?...

Black Women Activists and Stars to Run White Stars’ Instragram Accounts for #ShareTheMicNow Campaign
All day Wednesday, dozens of prominent Black women in Hollywood, fashion, business, literature and political activism will be taking over the Instagram accounts of white women including Julia Roberts and Elizabeth Warren, as part of the #ShareTheMicNow campaign, which aims to amplify the voices and stories of Black women.
Created by Bozoma Saint John, Cmo at Endeavor, fashion designer Stacey Bende, and bestselling writers Luvvie Ajayi Jones and Glennon Doyle, the campaign will see 46 Black women run the accounts of 46 white women. “When the world listens to women, it listens to white women. For far too long, Black women’s voices have gone unheard, even though they’ve been using their voices loudly for centuries to enact change,” #ShareTheMicNow said in a press release. “Today, more than ever, it is Necessary that we create a unifying action to center Black women’s lives, stories, and calls to action. We need to listen to Black women.

A new social media campaign launching Wednesday called #ShareTheMicNow will have Black women speak from the Instagram accounts of white women who have large platforms from Julia Roberts to Gwenyth Paltrow, Hilary Swank, Alex Morgan and Kourtney Kardashian. In the initial broad coalition of women, organizer Bozoma Saint John, Chief Marketing Officer at Endeavor, will take over Kourtney Kardashian’s account; Kahlana Barfield Brown will take over Julia Roberts’ account; Latham Thomas will take over Gwenyth Paltrow’s account; Angelica Ross will take over Hilary Swank’s account; and Ibtihaj Muhammad will take over Alex Morgan’s account.
#ShareTheMicNow wants to magnify “Black women and the important work they’re doing in order to catalyze the change that will only come when we truly hear each other’s voices,” the group said in a statement Tuesday. It “encourages Black and white women in relationship to recreate this action in their own spaces.
