Bird Brown Has Much To be Thankful About

The last time that Discovery fans saw Bird on Alaskan Bush People, her sister Rain had found her crying with pain. Rushed to a hospital, doctors discovered tumors. So, she underwent surgery. Fortunately, they were not cancerous, But, she does go back for checkups now and then, and that can be nerve-wracking.

The outcome of the cancer scare could have been a lot worse, so it seems that Bird Brown has much to be thankful for this holiday. The 30-year-old Alaskan Bush People star has her mom, Ami in her life. Then, there’s Rain, who alerted the family to her cancer problem.

WWE's Best Survivor Series Matches, Ranked
Image
WWE's second longest-running pay-per-view is Survivor Series. The show was established as a part of WWE's original Big Four PPVs, largely because there was a time when WWE only held four PPVs a year. However, even after the company expanded into holding monthly PPVs year-round, the history and prestige of Survivor Series carried it into still being one of the year's most important PPVs.

The biggest selling point for Survivor Series for several decades was WWE's traditional Survivor Series elimination tag team match. Five, sometimes four, men or women on each team would face down an opposing team, with the winner(s) being declared after one team is eliminated entirely by pinfall, submission, countout, or Dq. Over the last few years, that match has been replaced by WarGames as the signature match of Survivor Series. As a result, such a match hasn't been held at the PPV since 2021, but...

15 Best Death Game Anime
Image
The death game genre is one of anime's most iconic, although it is often hard to pull off right. This makes the better death game shows even more beloved by their fans even as the worse ones are reviled. It also makes it often difficult for new fans of the genre to find good recommendations for it.

This is unfortunate as the basic premise of the death game genre is brilliant in its simplicity. The genre involves a number of people who must compete in a game to kill the other participants. The nature of these games can vary wildly, from being more direct battle royales to hinging on simple activities like cards or hide and seek. But what is constant are the devastating stakes the participants are playing for, as their own lives hang in the balance. These are the best examples of this premise out into action.

Popular Shojo Anime Couples That Are Actually Problematic
Image
Romance is a major part of most anime series, and this can especially be said for shojo anime. Many of shojos most popular titles center around whirlwind love stories that leave audiences swooning. That said, the demographic plays home to many of animes most iconic couples. But while many of shojos well-known romances are looked back on fondly, its no secret that they can be pretty toxic.

To this day, the shojo demographic has a reputation for featuring unhealthy romances that definitely wouldnt fly in real life. Many of shojos most adored couples are actually very problematic and harmful as a result. From uncomfortably forceful love interests to abusive and controlling partners to questionable age gaps, the most popular shojo relationships are often the most controversial.

‘Alaskan Bush People’ Bam Bam Brown Celebrates A Birthday, How Old Is He?
Image
Alaskan Bush People star Joshua Bam Bam Brown is fairly quiet and isn’t quick to blow his own trumpet. He shared a simple birthday message, but for a more flamboyant one, it was up to Discovery Channel star, Bear Brown to shout him out on his recent birthday. Read on to find out how old he is now.

Bear Brown Seldom Forgets A Family Birthday

Ami and Billy Brown raised seven children together, and Matt Brown, estranged from the Alaskan Bush People family, is the oldest. Actually, he’s the one person in the family that Bear Brown is unlikely to shout out on his birthday. Despite sobering up, Ami’s oldest son is still shunned, but not by Discovery Channel fans who follow his social media.

Joshua Bam Bam Brown was the second child after Matt Brown, and he’s almost exactly two years younger than him. Then,...

This Fan Favorite Anime Deserves a Reboot
Image
Ouran High School Host Club remains popular and beloved years after its release, with well-written characters and humor. The anime did not cover all the manga material, leaving room for a reboot with abundant source material. A potential remake of Ouran High School Host Club would not be redundant and could be successful like other anime reboots.

Even today, Ouran High School Host Club is considered one of the best romance anime. Despite coming out in 2006, it's still incredibly popular. Not only are there ongoing discussions about the show, but it is also a well-recommended anime. Ouran High School Host Club stands as a delightfully funny romance anime, well received for both its interesting plot and its apt parody and references. The characters are beloved and have solid writing all the way through. Ouran High School Host Club is well remembered for plenty of reasons.

These Warm and Heartfelt Romance Anime Will Make You Swoon
Image
Romance is one of the most popular and enduring anime genres. There are many types of romance, and they vary in tropes and tone. Romantic comedies are very popular in shonen anime and contemporary shojo. Historical romance tends to be paired with high fantasy anime.

Fluffy romance isn't exactly a subgenre of romance; it's more to do with the tone of the story, and the intensity of the plot stakes. Fluffy romance is a story about love for love's sake, and they tend to be very optimistic stories. The stakes may be lower, but that doesn't mean the plot isn't poignant; they tend to have couples that work together through their struggles and personal development.

Will Alaskan Bush People's Joshua Face Charges For Fatal Car Accident
Image
It was shocking to hear about Alaskan Bush People's Joshua "Bam Bam" Brown's car accident, and now that time has passed, will he ever get charged for the fatal accident? The second oldest of Billy and Ami Brown's children has always been extremely responsible, as he always said, "respect the danger." Bam has been keeping a low profile and working hard on the Washington ranch since the accident.

It has never been hard to like Alaskan Bush People's Joshua "Bam Bam" Brown, especially since he always came across as the most educated out of the Wolf Pack. For years, Bam tried his best to keep his younger siblings safe as he had a healthy understanding of what the risks were living out in the bush. The Brown siblings are very familiar with the Alaskan and Washington wilderness, thanks to living there with their parents, Billy (who sadly passed away) and Ami.

DC's Flash Series Is Its Antidote To Superhero Event Fatigue
Image
Warning: Spoilers ahead for The Flash #787!DC Comics' latest issue of The Flash is the perfect antidote to the problem of superhero event fatigue. For the past several months, the Flash has been caught up in Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths, one of the biggest events in recent DC history and the culmination of the publisher’s plans since Infinite Frontier. However, in The Flash #787 both he and the readers get a moment to breathe. The issue is on sale now in print and digital.

Today’s superhero comics can appear to be a constant stream of mega events and crossovers, each of them promising colossal ramifications. This mentality can trace its roots back to the mid-1980s, when events such as Secret Wars and Crisis on Infinite Earths captured fans' imaginations. While this can be fun for fans, it also breeds what has been termed “event fatigue.” The persistent...

New this Week: ‘I Am Number Four,’ ‘Unknown’ and ‘Unstoppable (DVD)’
Hitting movie theaters this weekend:

Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son – Martin Lawrence, Brandon T. Jackson, Jessica Lucas

I Am Number Four – Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Dianna Agron

Unknown – Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, January Jones

Movie of the Week

Unknown

The Stars: Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, January Jones

The Plot: A man (Neeson) awakens from a coma, only to discover that someone has taken on his identity. With the help of a young woman (Kruger), he sets out to prove who he is.

The Buzz: Liam Neeson rocks. So happy to see his career is still in full swing. There have been a couple missable films on his most recent filmography (Clash of the Titans, The A-Team), but those were smaller roles, and he’s had his fair share of ‘must sees’ over the past few years (Taken, Five Minutes of Heaven, Chloe). The trailer for Unknown was thoroughly enticing.

AniMania: The Wallflower
A couple of weeks ago, AniMania ran a spotlight on Welcome To The Nhk. While Nhk is a great series, admittedly, it is aimed mostly at a male audience, what with all the jokes about internet porn and dating sims. In light of this, I thought it would be nice to give the girls a treat (more of a trick or treat, actually) and highlight a series that caters to the ladies.

The Wallflower is a harem show — for girls. The first clue to this is the cover, which features four naked boys, covered only by rose petals. If that didn’t tip you off, the opening animation features the same four boys, still naked, lying in a circle around our female star (also naked). Nudity aside — and there isn’t much of it in the actual show — The Wallflower tells the tale of four young bishounen (impossibly handsome men) who live in a mansion,...

Ani-Mania: Reviews ‘Welcome to the Nhk’
I’ve been promising this Nhk review for a long time. While I Could blame the delay on a massive, world wide conspiracy (which in light of the show’s premise would be completely appropriate), the truth is, its hard for me to write about a show that I *really* like. Sounds counter-intuitive, I know. You’d think the more I like something, the easier it would be to gush about it, but for me, it doesn’t work that way. If I think something is pretty good or just “okay”, its easy to talk about it. But if I really think its great, my opinion comes out something like, “Nhk: watch it.” — which would be a great review coming from Yuki Nagato, but it doesn’t really work here.

Welcome to the Nhk is special to me for several reasons. For one thing, it was among the last shows...
