Robin Saex Garbose began her directing career in the theater.In New York and Los Angeles, Robin directed more than 40 plays at theaters including: Ensemble Studio Theater, Naked Angels, Jewish Repertory Theater, Manhattan Punch Line, Juilliard Theater Center and the Odyssey Theater. Highlights include: "The Cherry Orchard" with Laura Linney, "Golden Boy" with Laura Linney and Jon Tenney, Howard Korder's "Lip Service" with Peter Riegert, Howard Morris' "Almost Romance" with Helen Slater and Fisher Stevens, and long-running Los Angeles hits, "It's A Girl," winner of 10 Dramalogue Awards, and "A Girl's Guide to Chaos" with Rikki Lake and Debra Jo Rupp.

Television credits include "Head of the Class" and "America's Most Wanted," where Robin wrote and directed numerous film re-enactments, helping to apprehend fugitives.

Robin co-wrote the screenplay The Spark about an angst-ridden teenage girl's search for faith, which was selected to participate in the Sundance Institute Writers Lab, and is slated for production later this year, starring Academy Award nominee, Abigail Breslin.

Her groundbreaking feature films, which she wrote and directed, A Light for Greytowers and The Heart That Sings, have garnered international press acclaim and been official selections at the Jerusalem Jewish Film Festival, Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, and Ashkelon Jewish Eye World Film Festival. Her latest offering, the action-adventure film Operation: Candlelight, premiered in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago.

Robin is a graduate of Brown University with an A.B. degree in Theater Arts and English Literature. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Levi Yitzhaq, and their children, Chaya Solika and Menachem Mendel.
