10 Annoying Breaking Bad Characters Fans Still Can't Stand 17 Years Later
Image
Breaking Bad is one of those shows that the title describes the plot perfectly. Walter White goes from an ordinary school teacher to a powerful and violent drug dealer after being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Arguably, not even Walt is a likable character. He not only lies and makes selfish decisions after starting to cook crystal meth with Jesse Pinkman, he begins to awaken an evil side to him that deeply changes his life and the lives of those around him. Just like the protagonists, most Breaking Bad characters make bad decisions. And some are not simply people who are rude or have questionable morals, they're also incredibly annoying as well.

Walt and Jesse may be unlikable on several occasions, but watching the duo's dynamic is entertaining. However, watching Jane suddenly falling back in love with Jesse when he gets a lot of money, or Badger struggling to use logic,...

Image
It's Charli Xcx's world, and we're all just living in it. Not only was she just nominated for a whopping seven Grammy nominations for her critically acclaimed album Brat, including album of the year, but the pop star is now garnering major Hollywood attention. Deadline reports that Charli will join the cast of The Gallerist, which stars Natalie Portman and Jenna Ortega and will begin filming sometime at the end of this year.

The plot will follow a desperate gallerist who cooks up a scheme to sell a dead body at a famous art gallery. No word on who will play the lead, but we do know the rest of the cast, which is satisfactorily stacked. The film is also set to star Da’Vine Joy Randolph, winner of last year's best supporting actress Oscar for The Holdovers, Sterling K. Brown, Zach Galifianakis, Daniel Brühl, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

10 Incredible Action Movies With Female Directors
Image
This article briefly mentions sexual assault.

Action movies have been a cornerstone of cinema for its entire 100-year history: from the classic Buster Keaton films of the 1920s to the John Wick movies of the 2020s. Unfortunately, that history has often underrepresented female voices, who spent many years of film history in unsung roles behind the scenes.

Luckily, many female directors have emerged in recent years to deliver some of the most dynamic, interesting action films out there. Female voices behind the camera have added great dimensions to the action genre.

3 From Hell: Trailer Arrives for Rob Zombie Devil's Rejects Sequel
Tony Sokol Jul 15, 2019

Rob Zombie's Firefly family returns for a real day of the dead in the 3 From Hell trailer.

Free the three! Now we can have a real day of the dead. Just when you thought there was no justice in this world, the first full-length 3 From Hell trailer promises a bloodbath and a devil of a time. The odds were a million to one against Capt. Spaulding (Sid Haig), Otis Firefly (Bill Moseley), and Vera-Ellen "Baby" Firefly (Sheri Moon Zombie) surviving their standoff with the police at their last rampage, but with a little faith, nothing is impossible.

3 From Hell is a family movie. The Firefly family has a deadly tradition going back to 2003, with Rob Zombie's directorial debut House of 1000 Corpses making way for the 2005 sequel The Devil's Rejects. Written and directed by Rob Zombie, the trilogy tells the story of Dr. Satan and his merry band of murderous misfits.

Rob Zombie Confirms September 2019 Release For 3 From Hell
Rob Zombie has officially blown the lid off 3 From Hell, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Kicking off the week in style, Zombie sent horror fans into a tizzy just yesterday with the delightfully gruesome teaser trailer, which offered a sneak peek into the twisted world of his follow-up to The Devil’s Rejects. And though many are already sold on the idea of 3 From Hell, the musician-cum-filmmaker has since announced that a new, extended preview will be released next month – just in time for the film’s theatrical release in September.

That’s right; we can expect 3 From Hell to hit the big screen in three months’ time, by which point we should have a better understanding of Zombie’s master plan for Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), Otis (Bill Moseley), and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie).

Here’s a little status report, courtesy of the director’s Facebook...

Captain Spaulding, Otis, and Baby Return in the First Trailer for Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell
The terrifying trio of Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), Otis (Bill Moseley), and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie) return in the first trailer for Rob Zombie's 3 From Hell.

While Otis, Baby, and Captain Spaulding were last seen (spoiler warning if you haven't watched The Devil's Rejects) driving into a barrage of bullets at a police barricade that ended their hellish road trip, they appear to be alive and well (albeit in the custody of law enforcement) in the sequel's teaser trailer (see below), which was revealed on Rob Zombie's Instagram.

In addition to Moseley, Sheri, Haig, and Phillips, the cast of 3 From Hell includes Dee Wallace, Austin Stoker, Tom Papa, David Ury, Clint Howard, Emilio Rivera, Daniel Roebuck, and Dot-Marie Jones. While a specific release date has yet to be announced, 3 From Hell is slated to come out later this year.

Are you excited to see another entry in Zombie's Firefly family saga?...

Sheri Moon Zombie in Lords of Salem (2012)
Rob Zombie's 3 from Hell Is Rated R for Sex, Drugs and Sadistic Violence
Sheri Moon Zombie in Lords of Salem (2012)
Later this year, The Lords of Salem and 31 writer-director Rob Zombie will unleash an all-new tale of terror on the masses in the form of his new Firefly Family flick 3 from Hell starring Sid Haig as Captain Spaulding, Bill Moseley as Otis B Driftwood, and Sheri Moon Zombie as Vera-Ellen "Baby" Firefly. The film promises to be a bloody and brutal good time at the movies and today we have confirmation that Zombie isn't going soft on us in his old age as Three From Hell has officially been slapped with an R-rating via the MPAA for "strong sadistic violence, language throughout, sexual content, graphic nudity, and drug use."

Holy hell, right? I mean I guess this rating should surprise precisely no one as this is Rob Zombie we are talking about here and the man sure does love his ultraviolence. But still, this is - no pun intended - one hell of a rating.

Otis Is Worse Than Ever in Three from Hell Teases Rob Zombie
Rob Zombie
As many of you know well and good by this point in time, writer-director Rob Zombie has an all-new entry in his infamous "Firefly Family" franchise headed our way in early 2019, called Three from Hell. The movie acts as a sequel to Zombie's first film House of 1000 Corpses and his best film The Devil's Rejects, and original stars Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, and Sheri Moon Zombie are all set to return for more macabre mayhem (and tons of f-bombs) as Captain Spaulding, Otis B. Driftwood, and Vera-Ellen "Baby" Firefly respectively.

But being that it's been a whopping thirteen years (holy hell) since we've seen these three psycho killers grace the big screen, wouldn't it be safe to assume the trio have dulled their sharp edges a bit? Nope, that kind of thinking is just what would get you cold slabbed, toe-tagged, and mailed home to yo momma in a...

Rob Zombie has been on the road with Marilyn Manson for the past few weeks, as the sinister duo is in the final stretch of their Twins of Evil: The Second Coming Tour. In addition to sharing the film's first teaser with stadium-sized audiences, he's released a couple choice, mugshot-style character posters for Captain Spaulding (played by Sid Haig) and Otis Driftwood (played by Bill Moseley). Hatchet Star Richard Riehle Boards 3 From Hell
Just when you think Rob Zombie has completed his casting spree for 3 From Hell – which, for those who don’t know, is the in-development sequel to The Devil’s Rejects – he adds yet another familiar face. This time, it’s Richard Riehle, who you may recognize from his role as Jim Permatteo in Hatchet but who’s also worked with Zombie on Halloween II, where he played Buddy the Night Watchman.

And so, following the back-to-back addition of Pancho Moler (31) and Machete star Danny Trejo, 3 From Hell‘s casting docket is now full – or so it seems – boasting Riehle, Clint Howard, whose Mr. Baggy Britches is all set to become the second tortured clown of Ruggsville, Austin Stoker (Assault on Precinct 13), Dee Wallace (The Howling, Cujo), Jeff Daniel Phillips (Halloween II), Dot-Marie Jones (American Horror Story) and Tom Papa, (who’s perhaps best known as El Superbeasto). Another Genre Mainstay Has Joined The Cast Of Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell
If there’s been one common denominator of Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell casting spree, it’s that the filmmaker has cherry-picked his cast from a pool of frequent collaborators, given the horror threequel has opened its doors to Sid Haig and Bill Moseley and everyone in between.

But thanks to the director’s lively Instagram feed, today brings word of a genuine newcomer: Richard Edson, the genre veteran best known for his performances across Strange Days, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Vietnam war drama, Platoon.

Further character details weren’t disclosed at the time of writing – ditto for all of 3 From Hell‘s other fresh faces – though we understand Edson will bear witness to the resurrection of Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), Otis (Bill Moseley) and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), the Firefly Family of House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects.

Here’s confirmation of that casting coup,...

Danny Trejo, star of Machete, Grindhouse and Once Upon a Time in Mexico, has officially joined the cast of 3 From Hell, the Rob Zombie horror threequel that has spent the past fortnight filling out its ensemble cast with a whole host of familiar faces.

Chief among them are Sid Haig (Captain Spaulding), Bill Moseley (Otis) and Sheri Moon Zombie (Baby), who captured the imagination of horror fans the world over with their performances across both House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects. Speaking of which, we understand Trejo plans to reprise his role as Rondo from the latter feature, which summoned the Firefly Family into theaters almost a decade ago. Now, they’re on the verge of a comeback.

As for the addition of Danny Trejo, Rob Zombie marked 3 From Hell‘s latest (and potentially greatest?...

Rob Zombie’s New Devil’S Rejects Movie 3 From Hell Adds Danny Trejo to the Cast
The Firefly family won't be the only ones returning in Rob Zombie's new Devil's Rejects movie 3 From Hell, as the filmmaker announced today that Danny Trejo will reprise his role as Rondo, one half of the bounty hunting duo known as the Unholy Two.

Rob Zombie announced the latest 3 From Hell casting news on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself with Trejo (see below) on the set of 3 From Hell. In The Devil's Rejects, Trejo's character (Rondo) and the other half of the Unholy Two, Billy Ray Snapper (Dallas Page) tracked down the Firefly family for the revenge-seeking Sheriff Wydell (William Forsythe).

It's not yet known if Page will also reprise his role as Billy Ray Snapper in the new Devil's Rejects movie, but Trejo joins a growing cast that includes Jeff Daniel Phillips, Dee Wallace, Austin Stoker, Tom Papa, David Ury, Clint Howard, Emilio Rivera, Daniel Roebuck,...

31’s Schizo-Head And El Superbeasto Joins Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell
You’ve visited the House of 1000 Corpses and bore witness to The Devil’s Rejects; now it’s (almost) time to lay eyes on Rob Zombie’s latest creative effort, 3 From Hell. And it seems the long-rumored threequel has already hit the ground running.

Yes, after the carnival-centric 31 back in 2016, Zombie has returned to The Devil’s Rejects and its seedy universe, and it’s looking increasingly likely that the somewhat contentious filmmaker will be welcoming viewers on a trip into the fiery depths of the underworld in the not-so-distant future.

Be that as it may, production is about to enter its third week, and today Rob Zombie brings word that David Ury, who was seen in the director’s aforementioned 31 as Schizo-Head, has joined the cast. Details on his role are being held back at the moment, but it’s nice to see another familiar face hopping on board here.

'31' Movie Review

by Jonathan Weichsel

31 is written and directed by Rob Zombie. The film stars Sheri Moon Zombie, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Meg Foster, Kevin Jackson, Malcolm McDowell, Jane Carr, Judy Geeson, Richard Brake, Pancho Moler, David Ury, Lew Temple, Torsten Voges, Elizabeth Daily and Michael "Red Bone" Alcott.

Rob Zombie is one of the most divisive directors of the twenty-first century. Either you love his movies, or you hate them, and the qualities that his fans love about his films, the stylized grittiness, the edgy, eccentric personality of the director which shines through all of his work,...

31 Review
Immediately after my 31 screening, Rob Zombie revealed how it only took a matter of seconds for his film’s wicked competition to materialize as an idea. This explains the chewy, undercooked nature of Zombie’s The Most Dangerous Game homage, which delivers buckets of grossness and a story that lacks a single spec of conviction. It’s death for death’s sake if you will, perverted by misogyny and told through rotting teeth. No one is safe, nothing is a sacred and life is belittled by Zombie’s bleakest endeavor yet, which is far from a pulpy-but-still-kinda-fun grindhouse experience. Think characters you don’t care about being hunted by villains you don’t understand – hate both the player and the game, you won’t be the only one.

It all starts when a group of carnies find themselves abducted by a secret society. Father Murder (Malcolm McDowell) addresses his chained prisoners,...
