- No relation to actress Jennifer Lawrence, although they have worked together in four movies: Hunger Games : L'Embrasement (2013), Hunger Games : La Révolte, partie 1 (2014), Hunger Games : La Révolte, partie 2 (2015) and Red Sparrow (2018).
- Is a popular music video director, having directed videos for artists such as Britney Spears, Will Smith, Sarah McLachlan and Aerosmith. Winning at the the 53rd Grammy Awards on February the 13th, 2011, in Los Angeles, USA, for Best Short Form Music Video for Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance".
- Graduated from Loyola Marymount University's School of Film and Television in 1991.
