Tallinn winner ‘No Dogs Allowed’ scores North America theatrical deal

Exclusive: Indiecan Entertainment has acquired North America distribution rights to Steve Bache’s feature debut No Dogs Allowed.

Indiecan is aiming for an early winter 2025 theatrical release, in partnership with Dark Star Pictures in the US and Pride Pictures in Canada. It acquired the film from Israel-based sales agent Antipode, which is also in negotiations with buyers in France.

No Dogs Allowed follows a 15-year-old boy who longs to talk to someone about his paedophilic tendencies. He befriends an older man; but when that man is arrested on suspicion of statutory rape, the boy must decide whether to testify against...

Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival unveils first feature competition line-up

Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival has selected 11 debut films for its First Feature Competition, including Steve Bache’s “paedosexuality” drama No Dogs Allowed.

The German film follows a 15-year-old boy trying to control his paedophilic impulses. He meets an older man in an online chat forum, only for the older man to take advantage of his insecurities. Paedosexuality is a term for the sexual fixation on children.
