Georgi Stoev-Jackie graduated in Biology
in Dresden, Germany. He worked as an
assistant cameraman, assistant director and
director (1967-88) at Vreme Film Studio,
Spectrum Film Studio, the BNT and Boyana
Film Studio. In the period 1969-96 he directed
over 50 popular-science and documentary
films, as well as the fiction films:
Our Shoshcanini and The Misfortunes of
Spas and Nelly and the novelettes The Divorce
in the Past and The Divorce Nowadays.
As of 1996, he is a free-lance director. He
has won many national and international
awards, with The Golden Rhyton for In a Matter
of Days in 1977 among others.
