In the official guide provided to Cbr, Netmarble advises that players pay "special attention" to Taeshik's surprise attack from behind and special skill when throwing his dagger. When his Hp is above 70% (known as Phase 1 of the battle), Taeshik's Hyper Armor is applied, making knockbacks and airborne attacks ineffective. Taeshik is also immune to incapacity status effects. Phase 2 (Below 70% Hp) sees Taeshik apply Stacked Berserk and Camouflage Skill. The latter increases his attack power, making defense a priority.

Sota Furuhashi, the producer behind Solo Leveling anime, disclosed that the anime had different versions tailored for audiences in Japan and the rest of the world.

This was revealed during an interview on Aniplex’s After Hours program, where Furuhashi provided insights into the unique localization efforts undertaken for Solo Leveling. This interview was hosted by voice actress Sally Amaki.

According to Furuhashi, the localization process involved the adoption of Japanese names for characters and settings within the anime’s domestic release, while adhering to the original Korean names for global audiences.

This also included recording certain scenes twice, with voice actors delivering lines using both Korean and Japanese names.

During the discussion with Animate Times, Shunsuke Nakashige stated,

“I thought this work required the high-end visuals that are trending these days. Therefore, I tried to avoid cartoon-like expressions as much as possible, using compositions, colors, and shooting processing similar to live-action footage. However, this would inevitably take up too much time and energy, and the images themselves would become too heavy.

The second episode of Crunchyroll's new Solo Leveling special, The Leveling of Solo Leveling, delved into the process and challenges of turning the hit manhwa into an anime series. Producer Furuhashi said, "In terms of adapting a webtoon into an anime, I'd say the biggest difference is probably the pace of the story." He highlighted that a typical manga volume could be adapted in two to three episodes, while a manhwa was more like 1.5 episodes.
