Independent filmmaker Taj Kokayi's shorts have screened at festivals across the world. In 2020, he directed the Afrofuturistic, experimental short, Woken From A Dream, which was selected to over 15 festivals internationally, winning Best Experimental Film, Best Student Short, and other awards.
His latest independent film, White Mirror, has screened at several festivals and won awards including Best of Fest, Audience Award, and Best Short Fiction Film. The short is currently in the midst of its festival circuit.
Taj worked as an Intern and Production Assistant at The Daily Show with Trevor Noah in 2022, before becoming an NBC Page at 30 Rock. As a Page, he's worked with Focus Features, and on shows such as Saturday Night Live, the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and others.
