When Antonio Banderas selected him for the film Summer Rain (2006), he didn't know that Perea was very famous in Spain for his roles in the TV-series Al salir de clase (1997) and La famille Serrano (2003).

He has released 2 albums "La chica de la habitación de al lado" (2003) and "Punto y aparte" (2004)
