Marcello Viotti was born on 29 June 1954 in Vallorbe, Vaud, Switzerland. He is known for Les pêcheurs de perles (2005), Le prophète (1998) and Jules Massenet: Le Roi de Lahore (2005). He was married to Marie-Laurence. He died on 16 February 2005 in Munich, Germany.
