Image
Doc star details season 2's filming window as season 1 wraps up with its final episode on March 18. The Fox medical drama, based on the real-life story of Doctor Pierdante Piccioni, follows Dr. Amy Larsen's (Molly Parker) journey as she's offered a second chance after major memory loss from a car accident. In February, Fox renewed the show for a second season and announced that it would contain 22 episodes.

In an interview with ScreenRant, Jon Ecker, who plays Dr. Jake Heller in the series, talks about the potential filming window for the upcoming season. While it hasn't been made official yet, the star shares that he's under the impression that Doc is expected to return "in the fall," which puts the production start date "sometime in the summer." Check out what he said below:

I don't have an official thing, but I think it's going to be sometime in the summer.

(Fox) Doc Season 2’s 22-episode Order is a Rare Find Among Shortened Seasons

If you’ve been following along with our Doc Reviews, you’ll recall that one criticism of the series is not having enough time to properly expand on and explore all of its complex, rich characters.

Quick Links The Premise of the New Medical Drama, 'Doc' How Doc Shakes Up a Tired Formula

Is there any television drama more abundant than medical dramas? We have Chicago Med, Brilliant Minds, Doctor Odyssey, and the Og Grey's Anatomy.
