Biography

    • Chi Lam is a British-born Chinese actor, writer, and filmmaker known for his offbeat, feel-good comedic style and sincere character work. He trained at MetFilm School London, graduating with a BA in Screen Acting.

His screen credits include Thirteen Cars (2025), Cookster: The Darkest Days (winner of Best Crime Feature at the London Independent Film Festival), and Dig Me No Grave, which screened at the Marché du Film in Cannes.

In 2024, Lam began development on the surreal British-Chinese web series Banana with BBC producer Radley Russell, and a short film, Pak Choi, in partnership with the NHS. He also performed with New Earth Theatre at the Birmingham Hippodrome.

Lam brings additional skills in music (Musical Theatre, LCM Grade 8; Violin, ABRSM Grade 5), martial arts (Kickboxing), and comedy (stand-up and POV skits). Fluent in Cantonese and learning Mandarin, he is recognised for portraying socially awkward but endearing characters, and for championing misfit-driven, emotionally uplifting storytelling.
