Kristian Smith is a multi-award winning British television and film producer. He is amongst a small group of creative producers in the UK, who has successfully traversed between drama, comedy and family.
He is the editorial presence behind the critically acclaimed Worzel Gummidge. This drama was quickly cemented as a modern British classic, reflected in impressive audience viewing figures. Gummidge marked an evolution in his relationship with Mackenzie Crook. Together they both originated the BAFTA winning Detectorists, which had previously charmed audiences in the UK and beyond. Kristian has twice worked with Sir Michael Morpurgo on adaptations of his books.
Kristian has won 2 BAFTAS, an RTS Award for best returning drama and a Broadcast Award for best comedy.
