Joy R.S. Mathur

Joy R.S. Mathur was born to a farmer's family in New Delhi, India. He grew up wandering in fields, chasing birds, playing with dogs, swimming in ponds-rivers, swinging on trees, and reading mythological moral stories, comics, and fairy tales. This proximity to nature enhanced his compassion and curiosity toward life. Stories were a medium that always resounded with his sensitivity and passion for self-expression. He joined the theatre to explore art after his schooling. He then moved to Mumbai, where he worked as an actor and assistant director and made a few short films as a writer-director. "Padhai Shadhai Aur Woh Bachcha," starring Parvin Dabas, Amruta Subhash, Manoj Pahwa, and Mohammed Saud, is his debut feature film as a writer-director and producer.
