Rowdy Stovall
Born in Houston, raised southern Baptist in Tomball, Texas. Father is Rick, a sporting goods salesman, and mother is Sherry, a housewife. He has a brother, Chet, and a sister, Angela.

Received a football scholarship to Stephen F. Austin in 1991. In 1993, transferred to Texas Tech University to play for Coach Spike Dykes. In his 1st season at Tech he suffered a career ending shoulder injury. Stovall moved to Los Angeles shortly thereafter.

In 1998, Stovall met his his first wife, Sharla, while acting in Neil Simon's "Laughter on the 23rd Floor" in Abilene, Texas. They were married for 3 years while Sharla attended UTMB Medical School. The couple divorced in 2002.

Remarried June 5, 2004 to Ashley Linda (Nichols) Stovall, sister of actor, Austin Nichols. They have three children and live in the Texas Hill Country.

Produced first film August 2004 for the NYC 24 Hour Movie Making Madness. Wrote and directed his first feature film, Mexican Sunrise, in 2005. In 2007, directed American Weekend, a documentary about the fans of NASCAR, produced by Endgame Entertainment. In 2008, Sunrise sold at the Cannes Film Market. In 2009, Stovall was hired to re-write the screenplay and direct, "The Ex Games." In 2011, Stovall bought the US rights back from Philippe Martinez to self distribute the film.

His films tend to be inspired by true events based.
