According to recent reports, it has not been mentioned anywhere that Sekiro: No Defeat, the anime adaptation of the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice game, will come to Netflix. Being a highly ambitious project under direct collaboration with Crunchyroll, the series is set to be exclusive to Crunchyroll; however, other streaming sites may be added to the list in the future.
From the trailer alone, the adaptation looks exceptionally promising with some industry big-shots like Kadokawa, Crunchyroll, Qzil.la, and Arch partnering up to bring this project to life.

The news that FromSoftware's acclaimed video game, "Elden Ring," would be getting a live-action adaptation was kind of a huge surprise. But perhaps an even bigger surprise is that the development studio's older classic, "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice," will have its own adaptation, too. The scale is much smaller for this one, though: developed by the American streaming platform Crunchyroll — which specializes in delivering Japanese anime TV shows and movies to audiences in various countries — "Sekiro: No Defeat" will be an anime TV series releasing next year.
Based on the fast-paced, brutally difficult yet extremely rewarding action game, the show will tell the story of a shinobi warrior trying to save his kidnapped lord, Goku, in the Sengoku period of 16th-century Japan. With the announcement, we already got the first official trailer that will surely be familiar to other Sekiro-heads like myself. In it, we get to see our...

If you thought Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was tough on your controller, wait until you hear this: Sekiro is getting an anime adaptation. That’s right, FromSoftware’s brutal samurai game, famous for testing players’ patience (and reflexes), is leaping from the game screen to the anime world.
It’s being produced by Kadokawa Corporation and Arch Inc., and directed by Kenichi Kutsuna. The animation will be handled by Qzil.la Inc.
From Game to Screen: How the Sekiro Anime Brings Ashina’s World to Life
Making Sekiro into an anime isn’t just about making sword fights look pretty; it’s more about capturing the mood of Ashina. The game is rich in themes of decay, loyalty, and power struggles, with its setting inspired by late 1500s Sengoku-era Japan.
Each and every rooftop, battlefield, and shrine in the game adds to that suffocating sense of desperation, and if the anime nails this,...

What is the best birthday present that a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan can get? There are many answers to this question, but no fan would refuse the gift that franchise voice actor Kenjirō Tsuda received this past week. Konami Digital Entertainment gave the actor a bouquet that featured a giant-sized trading card of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, one of the most famous monster cards in the franchise.

Despite taking place in the glittery, plasticized universe of Japanese girlband stardom, a strange drabness pervades director Koji Fukada’s “Love on Trial,” a downtempo price-of-fame drama that consistently takes the least interesting route out of the fraught situations it sets up. Where there’s the potential for incisive commentary on the chew-em-up, spit-em-out nature of modern celebrity, Fukada’s oblique approach has all the rhythm of a popsong’s intro stuck on a never-ending loop: all filler instrumental, no catchy hook.

For many years, the entertainment industry has been haunted by the curse of Live-action adaptations of popular anime franchises as they have been unable to produce a successful movie or series. Be it Cowboy Bebop or Dragonball Evolution, the curse has affected every project that has tried to bring the varied anime universe to life.

However, that has not always been the case. There have been some adaptations that have managed to break the curse and defied the stereotype by bringing an intriguing touch to the world of live-action. These adaptations exceeded expectations, and while they might not be as marvelous as the anime, they still were good enough to be profitable.

Sakamoto Daysis a delightful new anime series blending action and slice of life through its main duo: Taro Sakamoto the convenience store worker and his new friend/employee, Shin. Sakamoto is an unusual and memorable shonen anime protagonist. Taro is an ex hit man who got married, settled into domestic life, and even got a "dad bod" to distance himself from his vicious past. Even then, Taro Sakamoto has all the skills of an elite fighter, and sometimes, lets those skills shine through his humble facade.
Sakamoto is practically unique in the world of anime, but there are some characters out there who share some broad similarities with him. These characters share Sakamoto's general vibe, from elite fighters who voluntarily gave up their violent lifestyle to become peaceful members of society, to warriors who can handle themselves in a brawl but vastly prefer peace – and encourage others to embrace peace and love,...

Not all anime need more than twelve episodes to tell a story. Some, despite their short length, manage to portray beautiful stories of any genre with limited episode counts. These anime prove that it's not the number of episodes that matters, but rather the quality of these episodes.
Nearly all anime genres have at least a few series where there are only twelve episodes. Even so, the series' characters can still experience layered growth and development, while the plot naturally progresses and culminates in a satisfying ending. A few anime may have sequel seasons on the horizon, but for the time being, these are accomplished anime with only a dozen episodes to their names.

The most iconic aspect of any great shonen anime is its protagonist. Main characters can make or break an anime - particularly in the shonen genre. Therefore, when the main character is written to be irritating, it can grate on fans’ nerves. Whenever a new shonen anime drops, it’s a toss-up about whether the protagonist will be insufferable. Yet, when they are annoying, they can go straight from perplexing to awful.
The worst, most annoying shonen anime main characters can be constantly whiny. They cry at the drop of a hat or explain their problems so much that audiences wish they would talk about something else. Maybe the characters have saccharine personalities or are so overpowered that there are no stakes in their shows. Whatever the case may be, these are some of the most annoying anime protagonists to grace audiences' screens in recent memory.

Chapin has worn many hats in anime creation, including Adr Script Writer and Director. But he is most known for his voice acting. Bakugo is his main claim to fame, but many other characters Chapin voices might surprise some fans. Slice-of-life anime can cover any number of subjects. Sometimes, it stars magical people living ordinary lives. Other times, it's as simple as a high school romance. Knowing that there's a fine overlap between anime fans and gamers, it only makes sense that there are several slice-of-life anime starring gamers as they live their day-to-day lives.
Sometimes these gamers grow up with games and it helps them reach out to others. Other times, people who've shut themselves off from the real world to play games are convinced to give the real world another chance. Sometimes magic is involved, but sometimes not. Slice-of-life is a varied genre, and so are these ten anime about gamers.

With both Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man being the premier battle anime of the past few years, it is inevitable that comparisons will be drawn between the two. With both series being animated by the legendary studio, Mappa, and voiced by an all-star cast of VAs that include Kenjiro Tsuda, Yuichi Nakamura, and Tomori Kusunoki, both are neck-and-neck in terms of production value and overall quality. Nevertheless, while there are several ways that both adaptations can be compared, there are many ways in which Chainsaw Man can learn from its competitor.
In particular, Jujutsu Kaisen focuses on a more battle-oriented, straightforward method of storytelling that is less about individual character drama, and more about the stakes of the world and the roles that the characters have in the many events to come. Importantly, Jujutsu Kaisen is further in with its adaptation, while Chainsaw Man has only one season thus far.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a popular Shonen manga known for its exploration of dark and supernatural themes along with gore. It is popular in its depiction of Japanese folklore along with urban legends. Of all the deaths in the series, Satoru Gojo’s death is established as the saddest. While Gege Akutami is notorious for killing off fan’s favorite characters they aren’t exempt from the hatred and backlash.
