Devon Mathews is a professional, African-American actress, vocalist, voice actor, writer and producer from San Antonio, TX. Her credits span across music theatre, tv, film, live music and more. Her recent work includes starring as Pauli Murray in The Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray, Marginalized (full length feature film), and Brother's Keeper (short film). She was also in the international cast of The Color Purple Audio Experience, The King live Christmas musical starring David and Tamela Mann of Tyler Perry Productions, voiced "Mama Odie in Disney's Princess and The Frog (audio musical), and a plethora of performances, appearances, commercials, and more. Devon is also the founder and lead vocalist of her band, DevSoul; and is a producer, performing arts instructor, and vocal coach under her company Arts Noir Productions San Antonio. Fresh off of associate producing Brother's Keeper: Book 2, she is currently writing her first screenplay, TaMara and The King, under the Brother's Keeper short film series. She will also serve as director of the film and star as the lead role of TaMara based off the Bible story of Tamar and King Judah.
