He started out with the Sportmen's Quartet on the air with Jack Benny, Phil Harris-Alice Faye, Your show of Shows, Ed Sullivan, Bob Hope specials, Danny Kaye, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Carol Burnet, Red Skelton, Hollywood Palace, Cinderella, Pied Piper of Hamelin, Christmas with Conniff, Maud and Phillis (theme), Prime Target, Days of our Lives are just a few of the Radio and TV work that Jay has done. As for films he has done Annie get your Gun, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad,Mad World, Pigeons of Rome, Judgement at Nurenberg, Dirty Dozen, The Longest Yard, Hustle, Choir Boys, King of the Mountain and All the Marbles. Plus many others as a Studio Vocalist. He has also worked with the following vocal groups: Skylarks, Sportment Quartet, Ray Conniff Singers, Johnny Mann Singers, Pied Pipers and The Sunnysiders.
