Protecting Their Loved Ones

Both characters have protected a loved one from a crime they thought said loved one committed. Days’ JJ (Casey Moss) is currently investigating the shooting of Ej (Dan Feuerriegel) and he has his suspicions that his love interest Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) could have pulled the trigger. JJ also helped Haley Chen (Thia Meghia) hide from Ice agents.

As a detective with a strong moral compass, Chase (Josh Swickard) often finds himself torn between duty and loyalty to family and friends. In 2021, Finn (Michael Easton) believed he had accidentally killed Peter (Wes Ramsey) after a struggle involving a vial of a deadly toxin. Rather than report the incident, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) convinced Finn to cover it up. Together, they hid Peter’s body in the hospital’s sub-basement freezer.

Even though Scotty hasn’t been on General Hospital for quite some time, his portrayer, Kin Shriner, hasn’t gone anywhere. He’s been all over social media, often sharing tidbits, pics, and video clips from classic Hollywood. Shriner has also participated in many humorous videos with alum Marcus Coloma, and recently released one with just him as a new character.

Hollywood Ed Makes His Debut

Shriner wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Was a Hollywood tour guide in 5th grade, back at it!!! @GeneralHospital!!” Along with that, a video was attached in which he’s sitting in his convertible outside a house and starts to get very meta. Shriner begins, “Hello, this is Hollywood Ed on my movie star tour. This is the former home of a soap opera actor, Kin Shriner. He played Scotty Baldwin on General Hospital.”

General Hospital alum Marcus Coloma told fans about his heart scare back in November. Soap Hub caught up with Coloma while he was on the East Coast for his annual holiday get-together, an Ugly Christmas Sweater party, with fans this past Saturday, December 14th.
