Zora Sabrina Andrich Young. Zora was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico circa 1972 and grew up in Boulder, Colorado with her mother, Vujka Andrich, who emigrated from Serbia (Yugoslavia) in the mid-60s. Her mother got involved in the counterculture movement upon reaching the US and moved to the Southwest.

Zora was born at home with the her mother's extended family. Zora's father died in the mid-90s. While in Boulder, Zora was her high school's Homecoming queen as a senior. She spent her senior year at Hunterdon Central High School near Lambertville, New Jersey, and graduated in 1991. Zora stayed in the east to attend Rutgers in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Zora worked through college, supporting herself with modeling and nursing care work, graduating in 1997 with a sociology degree.

Zora continued to work infrequently as a model through 2002, supporting herself as a promotional rep, health club rep, substitute teacher, elderly care worker, and waitress. She continued to reside in Lambertville.
