Looking at the way the dance went viral, the creative team for the sequel is ready to test the moves again. The acclaimed horror film M3GAN is further fleshing itself out as a franchise. Although a sequel is currently in development, plans are also moving forward to create a spinoff movie.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, James Wan's Atomic Monster and Jason Blum's Blumhouse Productions are teaming back up to develop a M3GAN spinoff. The movie maintains the theme of replacing a letter with a number in its title, as it's called SOULM8TE. As the title suggests, the spinoff will be more focused on an artificial companion for adults rather than a doll for children. The movie is reportedly planned to feel reminiscent of the domestic thrillers from the 1990s with a modern, technological twist.
